It is indeed a practice that takes place within some sects of LDS. I grew up in Utah, and heard many stories of this occuring. Although it's a practice that seems to be on it's way out, earlier generations were very familiar with this horrible practice.

The craziest thing I have ever heard about the mormons is that certain sects believe that black people are black because they were so sinful in a previous life that God made them so dark,so that everybody would know there shame.Which is a load of crap
because reincarnation has nothing to do with Christianity.I've known a couple of full grown redheaded mormons,so that is just another crock of ****!

Ha ha. That is a good one I have never heard before. You know, my sister's inlaws and my second cousins have all kinds of redheads in their families. My favorite Mormon pianist is Jon Schmidt, and he has red hair. I am trying to decide if this is worth passing on. Your friend Stuart must be gullible or trying to fool you. "Gingermon" sounds like a Jamaican version of "gingerman."

It's definitely not. I'm a Mormon and have a little sister with red hair. Mormons don't eat people. We do however like to play jokes on those who are gullible.

If this were true I have a feeling we would be shunned and repressed, even that the religion would be illegal. Not only do we love our Red-haired friends, but any type of cruelty and murder is looked down upon. Anyone doing something as disgusting as that would be excommunicated from the church. I also have never heard the name gingermons...I wonder where people get this stuff from.

Mormons do not eat children...of any kind. LDS members believe in the same Christ as any other Christian denomination, therefore they would find the killing and eating of innocent children as reprehensible as any other members of faith.

Simply too far out to be even anywhere near truth and if some serious thought were given to this claim would have to conclude pulling your leg or your friend way too gullible
