I need lose weight quick ideals, I am on a small bowl of cereal in the morning and pretty much,water, vegetable, small amount of nuts,pretzels, fruit and 1 can of slim-fast a day every 2-3 hours. need ideals! I am 177 pounds. 5'5 tall

STAY AWAY FROM THE SLIM FAST IF YOU ARE EATING AT ALL... SLIM FAST ARE HIGH IN ALL THE THINGS YOUR BODY DOES NOT NEED. you need to boost your metabolism and exercises. Eat a good breakfast no more than 500 calories no later than 7:30 am, eat a FRUIT snack at about 10 and then at about 12:30 eat a salad and maybe some fresh veggies.. at 3:00 eat another piece of fruit (try and stay away from citrus, they have a lot of natural sugar which can metabolize alone) eat dinner with fish of some sort and some kind of veggies, NO POTATOES.. eat only wheat breads... and whole grain cereals... DO NOT EAT ANYTHING with calories after 6:00. It has been proven that after that time of the day the body literally shuts down and stores all calories. Eat only fresh veggies, yogurt and FAT FREE milk after 6:00pm.. and do not drink anything but water and more water, 120 ounces a day if at all possible. You need to get at least 45 mins of exercise every day. walking will help but probably not cut it, so try a slow jog or riding a bicycle. Get your metabolism boosted and do not slack off and you can loose probably 30 lbs in 30 days.. no meats other than fish or baked chicken, no White breads, no potatoes at all... no rice, except for whole gran.. leave that slim fast and the nuts alone! Yes nuts are good for you, but not when you're trying to loose weight, they are high in fat! IF YOU SMOKE QUIT!

Forget about the contest. Why ruin your health for $1,100? The most you can lose and be healthy is 2 lbs a week and that is not going to win. Some fool will virtually starve themselves by burning off much of their muscle and protein stores. Let them win. At 177 lbs 5'5" you need to lose weight sensibly. Try either weight watchers or the Body for Life book by Bill Phillips.

Don't limit your calories too much. if your body goes into "starvation" mode, your metabolism will slow down and you won't be able to lose anything. Try moderate walking 30 mins a day to start, or if you already walk, try jogging. Jumping rope is another great way to burn a lot of calories in a short amount of time. Just keep eating small meals or healthy snacks every couple hours or so to keep your metabolism going. Any way you go, you have to burn more than you eat or you won't lose anything. there are a few good websites out there that have nutrition information for everything, including fruit. Remember to be drinking 64oz-1 gallon of water a day (whether you are dieting or not) your body needs to be well hydrated at all times!

Also remember to take a multi-vitamin every day.

Your first meal needs to be more hearty. I think you should go with a bowl of Oatmeal(1/2 cup), 8oz of skim milk, and one banana for your first meal of the day. Then two hours later have a 6 oz container of fat free yogurt with 10 baby carrots. Then two hours later have 8 oz of V8 juice, 1/2 cup fat free cottage cheese and an apple. Then two hours later have 1/3 can of tuna on one slice of bread with some celery sticks and pickles. Then two hours later eat 1/2 of a boneless, skinless chicken breast, 1/4 cup of brown rice, and 1 cup of steamed broccoli. If you want to lose weight you have to eat! Eating low fat, well balanced meals (every two hours) makes your metabolism grow stronger, thus losing weight faster, plus you are healthy because you are getting enough fruit, veggies, protein and calcium. This is actually a way of eating that can be done for the rest of your life, not just a fad diet for the short term. I hope this helps..It sure helped me! GOOD LUCK!

P.S. Please stay away from slim fast. It has way too much sugar in it and just makes you even hungrier. Eating and drinking sugery things makes you hungrier. It does not curb your appetite.

College buddy did this to beat the draft: Lived only on salad, no dressing, and exercised regularly. He got classified 4F on the third visit for a physical. Buy things to fill up on that have as few calories as possible, and at least take long brisk walks every day. Give up the cereal, nuts and pretzels. Limit the fruit. Forget the Slim-Fast. You could try one of those orange-flavored sugar free fiber powders that mix with water to fill up on. They get thicker the longer they sit, too. And ice water. Plenty of ice, and dump in lemon or lime juice to keep it interesting. Don't add water to the glass, just more ice as it melts down. This is how deer starve in the winter, they eat bark and twigs just to eat anything. I'm not claiming this is healthy, but it's one step short of fasting. At least you get non-caloric nutrients and enough filler to keep your digestive system working. Or you could try to get hold of some tapeworm eggs.

Im Francis residing in the Philippines, 27 years of age. I'm a fat guy before but now i have a perfect abs.shall i say you must not rely on slim fast. vegetables must be serve with limitation one cup,no rice,no fruit juices,water and tea and 2 hours exercise cardio and crunches alternately. i bet u will take the price.

best thing is regulate your diet to vitamins and minerals only. dring mineral water and vegetables at every chance. D not stray from meat however, just well cooked and not greasy. also you must work out. the best thing i can suggest is what i personally have found best, the total gym 1700 club. you can do many exercises to tone your muscles and its fun. i just watch tv and go. trust me it won't seem like your working at all to keep in shape and lose weight but you will notice the effects immediatly.

HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! ok,, i m a girl, and i admit this joke is a bit sexist, but its hilarious, and its really FUNNY! eh, most jokes are sexist, anyways. i got some giggles ;) heyyy, ya know whats weird? make a joke about men, and its funny. make a joke about women, and its offensive. this is because thru history, women hav been deemed as not as 'good' as men. (which is soooooo not true; we are equal:) ) jokes like these remind us females of the sexist history of the world, and it pisses us offf. but like i said, its still pretty funny!
