the recalls Im talking about have to do with a switch or somthing going out an causing the truck to catch on fire.

But only one with switches is if you have cruise control 05s28 deals with a secondary kill switch (brake deactivation switch) that leaks brake fluid and possibly can cause a truck to catch fire. Most don't leak so the fix is to add a inline fuse to the criuse control switch to blow if the thing starts leaking and to replace those that are leaking

They had a recall on ford p/u at the end of last year on the cruise control. Had to install a harness to keep it from catching on fire. Not for sure on all of the years.

The recall you are referring to (05S28), is a very simple procedure. It involves installing a fused jumper harness between the speed control disable switch on the master cylinder, and the electrical connector. It takes no more than two minutes te perform.
