I live on base and dont want to offend or hurt feelings or get my husband in trouble but i have these two bumper stickers I am dying to put on my car.

1. Blind Faith in Bad Leadership is Not Patriotic
and
2.The Rapture is not an exit strategy.

*I am not looking for comments on your opinion of the bumper stickers just whether they are offensive or to much to have on a car that is on a military post.

I've seen people on base with anti-Bush or anti-war bumper stickers. Your husband can not get in trouble for something that you have on your car. Most people would probably agree with the bumper stickers, but for the few who don't, you may only have one or two idiots that might even have the nerve to say something to you. The question is, are you strong enough to defend your beliefs against idiots? Would it bother you to get any unwanted attention? If not, go for it.

You're right to be worried. Both stickers are probably too offensive for a car you'll keep on a military post.

You can put them on your car if you want, but expect some people to be very upset with you about them, because they are direct insults.

The first is an insult to anyone the many Bush supporters with well reasoned political positions. The second is probably the most offensive to servicemen.

You have the right to free speech. Yes, they may offend people, but the Constitution protects offensive speech, especially. Just be aware of what some offended parties may do as a result. If you share a vehicle, the situation may be iffy. Do you want to get your husband in trouble for your own views? Have you discussed these stickers with your husband?

I know you didn't ask for our opinions on the content, but I think they are both great! The first is VERY true, and it is supposedly an axiom of our government--but that was 100s of years ago.....

The second one is LOL funny!!!

But, I really think that you should refrain from putting them on your car on a military base. Your husband (and YOU, children, etc.) could get some flak for that kind of thing. In fact, I'd bet there's a broken car window and some raised fingers in there somewhere.

Of course, you know, you're not supposed to think if you are in the military. (How could our country ever have enough young men willing to die if we allowed thinking????) "Military Intelligence" is an oxymoron, or so the old joke goes.

God Bless you both--hope you get out soon, safe and healthy!

For one the blind faith sticker will get him in serious doo doo. he could and probably be charged with conduct unbecoming a solider.. which means he'd get kicked out of the service.. dishonorable discharge = not even McDonald's will hire him, not to mention you'd probably get divorced over it. Not to mention the disgrace you'd bring upon your family.. remember it's the military YOU CAN GET IN TROUBLE FOR TALKING TO LOUD ABOUT YOUR IDEAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or they may charge him with TREASON!!!! the sticker said not patriotic?? It brings into question his loyalty to his leaders and government.. the president IS his BOSS...COMMAND IN CHIEF??? ring a bell??Two the rapture thing same scenario.. questioning authority.. Hey I'm all for freedom of speech ,, but you don't have it in the military.. I know I served for 10 years!!

As a veteran I find the first extremely offensive. Think about that statement and the repercussions to any country with that philosophy. I do believe that we have an all volunteer Armed Forces. If you sign up and are not smart enough to know that you may have go in harms way, you are not smart enough to be out after dark by yourself!

What about if he wants you to kill him? If you do it even if he wants it, it is a PUBLIC CRIME, you will go to jail even if he wants you to kill him, ....... w.h.o.r.e

You should be ashamed of yourself.

You think it is funny and it is a turn on.
How stupid and cruel can women be? Do you know how damaging that can be, it is a long list, but to keep it short he can have infertility problems or lose a testicle(yes not that rare)! It is not just hitting, in that private place and especially done by a woman, men usually feels sexually abused(even if does not show his feelings). It is a sex offense. Not to mention the emotional trauma.
And women claim they are more sensible than men and non violent, yeah right!
That should only be used if someone is trying to rape you or kill you, only emergencies, only extreme cases of self-defense. If you do that in other situations, then you are 10 times worse than the guy you kicked.
If you think is funny to hurt and damage men like that, then you don’t deserve to be loved by any man or to have a family.
Even if he allows that, that don’t justify you wanting and enjoying doing that to men.
Do you think men hurting women or raping them is funny too? No, because it affects you directly, typical female way of thinking.

Want to see the long list of damage, go see my answer, if you care.

I am a military wife and I live on a base. Although I completely agree with you and your need/want to put them on your car (believe me I would want to too), I think that you or your husband would be asked to remove them once the right/wrong person saw them. It could quite possibly cause some problems with those die hard, go president people as well.

Good Luck....We have a leader who can lead us through whatever crap he got us into....Help us all!

They are not really too offensive, even to a Bush & Iraq supporter like me, but on a Military Base it will be frowned upon and may even get you into trouble. Because on a base you'd be expected to fully support the military.

Does it mean they are looking at the dumb people. Don't care as long as the dumb asses don't put it on the paint or window of their car. It's called a BUMPER STICKER, put it there!
