This is an article on MSN about Dilbert creator Scott Adams:

Nearly three years ago, Adams developed a tremor in his right pinky whenever he tried to put pen to paper. He turned to a digital drawing tablet and stylus, and the spasms disappeared. Dilbert has been computer-generated ever since.

I am curious about digital drawing tablets and computer generated art.

yer weird, but, cute.

So, I wil hep ya. go google for wacom tablet

and, the best program that I know, whichn made all the movies since "Titanic - 1997" and did Monsters, Inc., Shrek, and all animations in Hollywood, is GIMP.

Google for GIMP, too.

And, it renders 50X faster in Linux, http://pclinuxos.com includes it. Doesn't crash. That's one of the reasons Microsoft.com, MSN.com, and Hotmail.com all run on Linux on their 45,000 systems. As does Google, on 100,000..

Linux runs all the huge graphics machines at ILM, Pixar, Dreamscape, etc... that are actually just Linux clusters.

I have a wacon tablet, I have been using it for years for my 3d animations. They work great. They go for like $100, but maybe you can get it in cheaper at ebay.

You can use Photoshop, but it is a little expensive. Just go to http://www.snapfiles.com/Freeware/gmm/fwgraphicedit.html
and download pixia or project dogwaffle or watever you like. Or you can go to any other website that offers free paint programs.

Wacom makes pretty good tablets, you can check out there site at http://www.wacom.com/index2.cfm

There's lots of cool stuff you can do with them, I use one for animation with flash. And they are compatible with virtually every graphics program from Paint to Photoshop.
