So i'm 27, 5'4 and i had a baby just over 3 months ago. I'm about 120 lbs, so not overweight. I have been going to the gym and using the machine 3x a week for just over a month now. MY arms and legs are getting good definition already. My worry is that they will bulk up to much, i don't want to look like a man, just be toned and look strong. How do i prevent the scary she-hulk look?

Low weights with 3 sets of 10-15 reps and STRETCH - before and after. By stretching the muscle before and after, you elongating it instead of making it short and bulky.

You won't become she-hulk. The she-hulk women spend a TON of time getting to that point. If you have any life outside of the gym, don't worry about "bulking up".

You only go 3 times a week, so you'll never get close to that level.

Women lack the testosterone to bulk up. Because working out is something new to your body, it reacted suddnely by toning quickly. This will level out. You will probably continue to tone, but as for bulk, don't worry. I work at a woman's gym. No one in there looks like the hulk, no matter how hard they work or how often they workout.

Way to be buff!!!

Not to worry, you would have to live at the gym for that to be a problem. Really, my gf spends a lot of time at the gym, and doesn't have any of that bulky look.

most women don't have the genetic makeup to have big bulky muscles, so you shouldn't worry about it.
