There is this guy who I really like & he has been in my classes in every semester of college.. The first time I saw him, we locked eyes for a few sec. We just made eye contact but never talked to me. This semester, he is in 2 of my classes! & he just stares at me a lot.when I look at him he turns away. I finally had some courage to ask him a Q, he looked surprise. He hasn't talked to me, but he still keeps looking at me. I thought he was shy b/c he doesn't talk to people much. Now my hopes are fading bc he is now asking Qs to this girl who is very pretty & she gets nervous when he talks to her. she even made him laugh! (he is always serious, doesn't smile). i think she likes him. Im sad & confused bc i don't understand why wouldn't he talk to me, he has been in several classes with me. He just stares at me, makes eye contact, that's it. Guys if you like a girl, but you are shy...how would you act around her?? Would you talk to her or would be too nervous? Is he still interested in me??

Don't worry about the other girl...He's interested in you. I used to be like this guy...I don't really talk to the girl that I like. I kinda ignore them and see what they'll do...I'd definitely talk to some other chicks that I'm not interested in(but act like I do) and see what the girl who I like would do....

It can be hard for shy people to make their move. Generally you do try to talk to the people you like. But maybe he feels more comfortable around the pretty girl b/c he sees her as out of his league or someone he's not into. Why don't you offer to buy him dinner and a movie. If he's remotely interested that'll turn him on even more. It's a definate date, and if he shuts you down then at least you can stop playing the guessing game.

Girls tend to talk a lot. Especially in things they're interested in. If she gives you short replies, most likely, she isn't interested. And as for the lunch line, she probably wasn't looking at you, or was feeling uncomfortable with you behind her and was checking if you left. Did she give you awkward stares? And during your class, she probably was just being nice since you guys worked on a project together. You probably just hope she likes you, that's why you're misreading most of her signals that she's not interested. Sorry buddy. Find someone else (:

It's hard to say. The way he behaves, it sounds like he's just shy. But you say he's talking to this other girl now, and she seems to like him. My diagnosis is that you did not show him enough attention, or you acted strange around him when you asked a question. I mean, if you like him you should have sat near him and chatted as soon as you realized that he was shy or unaware that his attention is wanted. Now this other girl is talking to him and giving him good vibes, so he's really starting to like her. I think you should still start talking to him though. Maybe this girl is just a friend, or maybe she doesn't really like him at all (i.e., getting homework help and paying for it with flirting). Don't hold your hopes too high, but keep at it for a while. Good night!

Maybe he's intimidated by you. I've not asked girls out because I thought they were too cute for me. Maybe you need to be a little more aggressive and go and talk to him a little more. As a guy, I like it when a girl comes and talks to me. It makes me a lot more comfortable around her.

hes not interested and hes not shy. wanna know how I know? Because he TALKS to the other girl and she makes him laugh. Shy people will not talk. Maybe youre just pretty to look at? MAybe the opposite. Some people are just stare-ers. Dont take it too serious.

why do you like a guy who stares and never smiles? Does not sound too attractive to me. I am kinda shy but if I am into a girl I dont just ignore her, I just take a bit to long to get it out there...
