He's my friend, and I've had immense feelings for him since last year. Everyone thinks we should be together. I totally thought he liked me. I mean, he always makes comments on how smart I am and how cool my sport is, and he shyly catches my eye. So I was heartbroken when his friend told me that he likes my best friend. She doesn't even like him that way, and she feels really bad about the whole situation. He still acts as if he likes me, too, though. Do I have hope?
Note: he took us out to dinner recently and paid for everything.

If she doesn't like him like that and she is willing, have her tell him she doesn't like him and maybe he will turn to you. Yes I think you have hope but don't get too excited- he IS a man. LOL

absoulutly i mean u cant really know if his freaind is teling the truth and he could like you voth and his freind may be sayin that beacuse he likes you to beacuse you never know and you definatly have hope you sjould just talk to him more and start setting h up times to hang out just ask him if he likes you its the only way to be sure beacuse he is the only one who knows how he feels about everthing and every one =]

Just wait until you see him flirting,and if he is flirting really bad try to invite him for dinner at a restaurant or at home(alone)and video tape him and show him later on and explain to him that he is flirting and,then pop out the question ''Do you like me or something.''and if he does,well at least your relieved. at least that's what i would do but I'm just a kid,what do i know.;)

it sounds like he's playing the field. trying to figure out both of you. is this love or lust? i think he may not be worth your stress. if you and he were together and he was acting the way he does toward you, with another girl, would you be comfortable?

Ah, I'm sorry that he likes your best friend. Maybe if she kindly lets him know that she's not into him like that, he may start to be interested in you.

Like maybe you like might have a chance only if like he knows your friend really doesn't like him and that he has like no chance of like being with her like maybe you should let it slip that you like him and see like what his reaction is like to that and maybe like you'll know if you like have a chance.
