I have never heard of anyone in my family . nor my friends our neighbors,or fellow workers support that illegal war, but there may be someone somewhere. Perhaps if you question someone in a mental institution.or someone in the military? Jumbo shrimp? military intelligence,? those words do not seem to go together do they?

How can you say we haven't acchomplished anything. You must be one of these people who just watch tv and just run around repeating everything they heard instead of researching it.
In terms of it being a mess it is not even close to being a mess. In fact we are doing an awesome job.
Are we fighting a war here in the states. I mean between Illinois and Iowa? No we're not. We are fighting a war in a place we don't know, in an urban combat setting against people who blend into the civilian population. This is the hardest, deadliest war to fight and we are doing an awesome job. I don't like that American lives are lost, no one does, but we average about three deaths a day, only three. I know its three to many. But to get back to living here were we are not in war. We loose 43 Americans a day from homicide, a place where we are not in war.

Now lets look at getting the top ten wanted in Iraq and the USA. Look at all the police, FBI etc that are looking everyday for the 10 most wanted in America, in a place we know. We have over a million people keeping an eye out and looking for these people. How many do we catch a year? Now look at Iraq, we have a little over a hundred thousand troops. How many do we catch there. I let you research this because you will be surprised. This is only part of the stats. I would say we are doing an awesome job, not to mention all the pressure from people who don't understand the war and want to leave.

It takes time to acchomplish things and we are.

Reading your question has definitely made my blood-pressure go up! I said this before and I'll say it again; I honestly hope my daughter or any other soldiers don't read half this crap that people are saying!! How would you feel if you were trying to do something and everyone kept putting you down?? I'll have you know, we have accomplished more than you can imagine; you just don't hear about all of it. The insurgents are probably loving all these wonderful supporters that we have here on this site or anywhere else. Even if you "feel" we shouldn't be there, at least support and respect our military.

ok one we have accomplished **** over there i am in the army. so i never been there but let me tell you something our troops are doing the best they can. The troops are even sacraficing there lives for you and everyone else so you need to go to do some research on that. so the next time you have a stupid question like that dont put it on here, look there are many ways you can find out about what we are doing for you

Clearly there are a large number of people who support the war, our President being one of them. It is kind of worrisome that there is not exit strategy. One of the reasons why we are holding on is that if we leave now is we have created a bigger mess in Iraq then anyone would have ever thought. The violence keeps escalating it certainly is not a good situation. I really feel for our guys their , it must just be awful to patrol and not know who the enemy is. The guys we should be targeting are able to hide in plain site. Something drastic is going to have to happen in order for us to withdraw.

Accomplished nothing? That's a pretty harsh view to have. Personally, I would like to think of the troops and Iraqis that have died as helping the world to become a better place for future generations. But then you are entitled to your opinion.

92% of Iraqi kids have been immunized against polio.
4,500 new schools have been built and equipped by coalition forces.
33,000 NEW businesses are flourishing.
Five million cells phones are in use in Iraq, compared to almost none a couple years ago.
43% of Iraq's parliament is made up of women, the highest percentage in any Arab country.
150 newspapers and TV programs discuss politics on a daily basis.
So what is next to nothing about this?
But don't wait to hear anything about it on CNN.

Accomplished next to nothing?

Even Iran helps us with intelligence. We are going to establish a democracy in a country that is bordered by six other Muslim nations. We have put the Muslim community on notice that terrorism will not be tolerated and there is a price to pay.

You are ignorant and misinformed, oh, and by the way, this is going to be a very long term war. We can deal with it now, or later.m Better now.

Oh YES I do. What do you mean we have accomplished nothing??! Saddam is out of power isn't he? Maybe you should research him and see just how he ran that country. You want to talk about a savage! Also how dare you pitty little people speak out against the war when there are men and women over dying for this country everyday! They are dying to help provide the right you are using against them!! FREEDOM OF SPEECH DOES NOT COME CHEAP! Especially when it is your loved one over there or your loved one that was killed. I completely believe in freedom of speech but what you all need to do is voice your opinions prior to our solders setting foot on foreign soil. Once they are there then we all need to support them. This country and all the democrats/liberals shames me. My/Our four fathers did not work/ fight and build this country for you all to turn on the very ones protecting it for you. Now before you all start talking I am in no way involved in the military and currently don't know anyone serving but what I do know is that I thank God for them every night when I close my eyes to sleep. You know it's because of them that you can sleep in peace and without fear! So good luck with that!

Yes, I still support the war on terror and it was well past time for someone to take care of Iraq. I would rather have our troops fighting the terrorists over in the Middle East than having them kill our civilians. Remember, even the UN continued to reprimand Saddam Hussein for not following the terms of the CEASE FIRE that was in place.

Also, if you will remember, Saddam launched scud missiles that was on his banned list and we have found older chemical weapons that he had stashed away with conventional.
