This is long, i wanted to give all the facts. My flatmate started seeing this girl a year ago, they met in Sydney, Aus, she is german, after being 2gether for approx 3 weeks she had to return to Germany to finish her degree (surgical intern) then she returned to Aus for 3 months & had to return to Germany cause she couldnt get a job, unfortunately she can not come back to Aus until she has had 2 years working experience in Germany. She may be able to get a job in Brisbane or Melbourne which is what they are waiting to hear about now, My flatmate cant go to Germany as he is waiting on his residency in Australia & the fact that he does really like Germany. Does he wait for her, he is loyal, they R very sweet together & really want to be 2gether, he will be heading home (England) in April 2008 so he can visit Germany then but should he be waiting all this time? What are your thoughts?

I have always believed in the saying, "If you love someone set them free, if they dont come back its not ment to be." Being apart from each for so long people say, it always makes the heart grow founder, but sometimes it can also be trialing, who knows if they find someone else, and because they are tide to somebody else, they might end up passing up the chance of meeting the one they are ment to be with, but like I said if you love someone, set them free, if they don't come back, its not ment to be. destiny has a way with us all.=-)

I think that if they are to be together they would be, so if he thinks that she is the one for him then it would be advised that they practice a long distance relationship.Hopefully she could wait for him because I am experiencing this long distance thing. My fiancee is a pilot in Guyana and I am a University student in Trinidad so I would say that it could work but it is very hard and could only work for a while. I would say be patient and try to work it out. It could also strengthen their relationship. Tell your friends to hang in there and good luck with their new found love.

If they talk about it and both agree on the time away from each other, they should be sure to mention and agree to be faithful to each other. If they are experienced in relationships, it might be hard as they are so far from each other and quarrels and arguments are much easier to happen when people are far apart. Tell them good luck.

Sure, there's nothing wrong with waiting for a girl if he is sure that she will wait for him as well. It's kind of a risk, but as long as they stay in touch frequently it should be all right.
