People believe that if you have a cat you won't get mice, but I am living proof that it just isn't so. I have always had at least 2 cats and will still have a mouse problem usually in the fall. If they only reason you want a cat is to kill mice, don't bother. Cats need loving care and attention.

Any cat should do the trick as long as it's a real living cat. Even if it doesn't catch the mouse it should scare it away.

I have three cats and none of them even know what to do about seeing a mouse. They all stay in the house. My dog on the other hand who is a pitbull will kill any mouse she sees.

any self respecting cat that will hunt for pleasure. just joking, even the scent of cat can scare mice away. i have never had a purebread cat that has willingly went out and got its own mouse, all the other cats have though. any cat will do.

As one person already suggested a hungry one but the best thing is a mousetrap as a cat can only catch what it can see or find.Besides if your cat catches this thing it will probably eat the disease carrying little wretch and unless your cat brushes and flosses daily you probably don't want him breathing on you.

It seems to me that females are more likely to actually hunt for mice than males, but just having any cat around might do the trick by scaring the mice away.

A hungry cat. Just feed your cat once every other day and they will learn how to hunt. Don't leave remaining food in Cat bowl because this will attract mice. Don't worry, this will not harm your cat
