eat five times a day 3 normal meals 2 snacks this will speed up your metabolism stay away from all fast food, stay away from bad carbs, like all soda, white bread, pasta, pizza, white rice. Eat good carbs like Oatmeal, anything that is whole grain, Brown rice, fruit, white meat chicken is very good for you. Eggs are good but have alot of cholesterol but at your age I wouldn't worry to much about it, stay away from red meat. You should do cardiovascular exercise like jogging, bike riding anything that will make you sweat and your heart beat faster. When you have P.E. run your but off it seems like most girls hate P.E. and don't like to run these girls are usually the heavier ones.

I'm sorry, but something isn't quite right here. You want to lose 5 to 10 inches off your waist and you weigh 82lb? How can your waist be very big at all? What is your waist measurement exactly, because I'm having a hard time believing it is going to be anything but very small. I agree with the poster above, I think you have a body image disorder and need to seek psychological help. HTH.

Unless you are under 4 feet you are not over weight. I just checked a BMI calculator and at 4 feet you would be just over weight. I worry that you may be developing body image problems. ask your parents if they can take you to see see a professional fitness instructor, there they can put you on a plan that is healthy and is based on toning, not just losing weight.
Failing that speak to your doctor about your concerns, they will also objectively tell you what you actually need to lose or not lose.

Make small, gradual changes and over time, they will have an extremely powerful effect on you.
Check out http://www.obesitykills.iconfessional.com . The guy there is an ex-Marine, like myself, and he's putting together a program for himself in his blog that will get him back into shape. It will work for pretty much anyone and he's doing it all publically.
He's not selling anything, just sharing what he's doing as he does it. He's hoping for encouragement and motivation from his readers.
Hope that helps.

Well, the answer is yes, if that is the right amount of weight loss for your body size and shape and type. If you are 4'5" and weigh 120 lbs, I'd say no. Please put up your actual weight and size information so people can help you a bit better.
