a real relationship with courting

I am just starting to test the waters of this online thing. I am doing it in search of a relationship, not having any luck. I would say that there are guys who just aren't comfortable breaking the ice and feel better doing it online. I feel there are women out there who are very shallow and always judges a book by the cover. That makes some men afraid and nervous.

Not all men that you meet online are afraid of having a relationship...I met my boyfriend online and we have been "courting" for 7 months now...

I'm not presently dating on-line or off-line. I'm just meeting people right now and hopefully I'll meet someone. I'm 40, for me going out is way different then when I was younger. Too many people have their guards up or don't show their true self. Maybe it's the same on-line too, I'll find out. I am comfortable on-line because I'm in my comfort zone. I also just moved here and don't know anyone and just bought a laptop. So, why not try something new. Good luck in your future relationships. Don't give up on-line or off-line.

this comes from first hand experience...
believe it or not, many of the men on these dating sites are either in a relationship or are married. I know it sounds crazy, but it's true. The more aggressive they are .. and the more accepting they are for women with all body types, etc..the more committed they are.
A very close relative found her husband's add on match.com..doofus! and another found her husband "talking" with a few adds on yahoo personals, and still another friend found her husband on craigs list..
My own experience before I was in a long term relationship was the same. You need to be really really choosy...and maybe not go for the "cheapest" online dating sites. It's a true case of buyer beware!
good luck!

Well firstly you cant see who your talking to .It is easier to say what you want over the net .It is not always we are afraid of courting but you learn quicker about the character of a person online than in person. For me I would love courting its more intermate and does'nt have to be sexual to enjoy.
