my 20. race bike is almost twenty pounds, not for serious jumping.my cruiser goes about twenty-one pounds and can withstand smooth sessions of air.flatland bikes are more about balance and gearing than weight.serious "unsmooth jumpers" bikes go up into low thirties.skate park bikes have a mid-upper twenties in the weight dept.,needs precision and lightness.

No. BMX bikes should be as light as you can find them. They should be built for speed in the mud and dirt during relatively short races.

On the other hand, flatland or jumping bikes will be quite heavy to provide greater strength and also higher inertia when flying through the air.

no bmx motorcycles are meant to be easy, if youre bike is heavy it extremely is b/c it is not a powerful bmx and probable has a steel physique. a hevy bmx could be around 30 pounds. my freinds bmx's are like 20 pounds, than lower back they positioned like 3000 into theirs.
