You may be talking about Reisling, and I have found it in Cost Plus, & World Market. That is if these chains are in your locale. I'm speaking of California stores. Also Belair.

Germany white wines are of a spritzig quality that means a bit effervescent.
Trockenbeerebauslese is a sweet wine or else try an Icewein.
In India you could get a Liebfraumilch in 5 star hotels, but sweet Germans have not yet caught up with the Indian taste.

Try Pier One Imports Store they carry a vast array of wines from all over the globe. I have found some that I drank as a child in France and Germany.

there are several sweet white wines from Germany...Liebfraumilch, Geverz, Riesling...none have a lot of effervescence...just the normal wine bubbles
