Well, just talk to him about it. Try your best to make him understand how frightened you are about sex' effect in your interaction with each other. If he's broad-minded enough, then he will understand what you're trying to point out.
I also thought of that before, and my bestfriend and I nearly did the nookie, but just when I was taking off her threads, I got nudged by my conscience, telling me that I could never be sure of what would happen next. So I just stopped, redressed her up, and apologized to her. Dammit, I nearly cried to her that time...
I hope I answered your query. Have a nice day, good luck, and Rock on!

If this is only about sex, don't do it, you will lose a friend. If you two are interested in a relationshipm think about it before doing it.
If the risk is worth it, then it is up to you to decide.

If you want to preserve the friendship, you are probably best off to stay with your instint and simply remain friends. Everything changes after sex. If it were meant to be, then you'd be sexually attracted to him and you wouldn't be here asking the question.
Your instincts are correct.

Go with your gut feeling on this. Your right, you do run the risk of changing the chemistry of the friendship you have with him. Good luck.

do you like your best friend in a way other than your friend only if you do think about it as you and that person to be the diffrent tipe and well the other thing is that you think of that person just as a friend and tell that person if that person doesn't understand your point the that person was not your best friend to start on

you don't do it. think about this, do you want to have a kid with this guy? It can happen and is something to think about. you also have to weigh the importance of his friendship or sleeping with him. Personally since you are not boyfriend and girlfriend I would say don't do it. but that is me

Don't!
Sounds as though he cares more about himself and what he considers an easy lay, than about you and your feelings.
Cut him lose now!!!!!!!! Go it alone for awhile. Go where you like to go, do what you like to do! There will be lots of people there, doing what you like to do, going where you like to go.
Nature will send you a true friend! A person that will care about YOUR feelings, YOUR welfare, and will fight all that would seek in any way to harm you!
With over 150,000,000 males on this earth, what have you go to lose?

Say you don't sleep with people you're not in a serious, committed relationship with and that you're saving yourself for marriage.
You have some lousy friends. I wouldn't want this friend.
