pray to live

2006-10-27 17:32:29 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

I was given 6 months to a year due to my stage 4 cancer. Soooo I have done some praying to take me sooner than those with little babes, I have partied within reason, I got a dog, threw out a drunken cheating husband of 15 years, contact my folks that hadn't spoken to me in 4 years, tracked down my 2 best friends from high school, traveled, and like the song says "lived like I was dieing". Let me tell you something, I'm 41 have no regrets and am ready for my time but I'm living my life my way for the first time ever. It's all about me now, finally. Cancer has actually made my life better....but I'm ready when its time. I'm getting the peaceful death and living at the same time. Hope this helps you....I'll be thinking of you and sending good thoughts your way to help you if this is a decision you're trying to make. Peace!

Obviously if you were given only 6 months to live, praying to live longer is fruitless. I would pray for a peaceful death and try to live life the best I could for the time I had left.

In my case it would be hard cause I could either get the wish I've been wanting for the past year and a cure for all the problems that I have or I could stay alive and pursue my dreams of being a famous musician. I would probably choose life in the end though because I just discovered a religion that I have faith in and the 2 close friends and the 2 band-mates I have would miss me to much for me to be able to be happy to pray for a peaceful death. I believe that even though some people say they want to die that if they really opened their eyes they have so much left to live for.

I just realized while writing this that I really would chose life over death despite all the things that I've tried. Thank you for asking this question. = )

BOTH ?
Yeah !
B.coz youre going to live longer than that if you keep doing that
ASSUME somebody told you this when ur just a KID so after every 6 months you get 6 yrs more this how we have been living together celebrating every 6+6= 1 Birthday
FACT
Millions of people on the globe often are not sure about the next 6 hours, and EVERYONE are sure that no one lives permanently, after next 6 decades, The END really bothers to everyone, so everyone try to forget it, and live praying for more,
LIVE every moment of your Life perform the Good deeds, try to serve the people and make your remaining part more meaningful for your family, friends, neighbourhood, society and your soul & body too

I hope to See U back on this page again after 6 months
Wishing you Healthy days & long life ahead

If I had six months to live I wouldn't pray at all. I would however "Live like I was dying" you know Tim McGraw song. I would live life to the fullest and not worry about. If your time is up it is up and there isn't much praying can do for you. I would just make the most of the time I had left.

I hoestly would pray for both, and then enjoy what I had left with the people I love most, and then doing what I love the most along with living each day to the fullest that I can. Which I pray for every night, wether I've got 6 months to live or not.

If it was absolutely without a doubt that you only had 2 months to live, then I would do everything I always wanted to do(within reason). Live everyday as though it was your last and pray for God's will!

I would pray that His will be done, and not to make it too long or painful.

I just lost my mother in August and she wasn't diagnosed until May. The told her in late July that she had 3 to 6 months, about 2 weeks later she passed. It was just a blessing that she didn't have to suffer for very long in so much pain. And her pain got sooooooo very bad near the end.

I wouldn't spend all my time praying I'll tell you that!
I'd pray for life though. I'd go through just about anything to live a little longer. I do thank God for the time I've spent here so far!
