I guess I am the exception here as I have never used illegal drugs, but I think I HAVE been high several times. The first time was from pain killers from when I had my wisdom teeth removed when I was 20. They were growing crooked and pushing my back molars out of line, so they had to go. And then there are the times I've had alcohol to what might be termed, excess, which I regretted the following day. Being high is not my preference. Being high distorts reality and believe me, reality does not change just because your perception through drugs or alcohol changes. So, my answer is, I do NOT like getting high. Getting high removes a part of my memory of my life. There are periods of my life, on the painkillers for my wisdpm teeth extractions for example, that are a total blur, days are simply a blank. I know I felt good, but I have no memory of what I did for those few days, blank spots. Is this what you want? I honestly do not see what people see in taking illegal drugs to get high. I'm sorry, but getting high is not something I would suggest anyone do. There are consequences, which only may be apparent way later, when you can't take it back...
I guess I am the exception here...

Well, back in my younger, stupider, wilder days about 25 years ago, I liked the mellow feeling I would get from alcohol, and the few times I tried coke, I liked the buzzy, "I'm the funniest gal in the world" feeling (until I ended up one night curled up around my toilet thinking I was going to die from an exploding heart) Now that I've become an adult, the best high I want is the kind you get right before a good nap. You know, the light, floaty and totally relaxed feeling you get. That does more for me now than any drug could. And I'm really not that old, just wiser.

What did I like (25 years ago)? The laughter. The interesting dreams.
There were also many things not to like, and that's why I don't get high anymore.
