Yes. It's bad. Don't eat it, don't open it; just trash it.

Just because the bacon may be smoked doesn't mean it can withstand 24 hours in a trunk that is over 80º, the heat will cause bacteria to grow extremely quickly on the bacon, in the restaurant industry food is supposed to be disposed of after 4 hours in the open for the same reason.

Open it and give it a whiff. Does it smell okay, or too strong? that is the BEST test for cheese that is not moldy. If cheese gets moldy, but is in block form, simply cutting away and discarding the affected portions will remedy the problem, but eat the remainder quickly as spores will re-mold it more rapidly the second time. Hope this helped, somewhat at least.

Cold food should be kept at 40 degrees or colder. Hot food at 140 or above. Anything in between is unsafe. So food that was in your car all that time is not safe.

It's rotten~ chuck it. That goes for any meat, not just Canadian bacon. And chicken is the worst!
