i had a pimple, popped it, & now i have this dark red spot that refuses to go away... is it a scar? or do you think it will go away with time?

its probably not a scar but you probably popped it too early. popping a pimple too early can cause it to spread an cause infection. try exfoliating in a couple days and see if it improves. try not to touch or pick at it in the mean time.

You've given yourself a deep bruise from squeezing. It really will go away eventually, but will take time. I did this to myself a few years ago too, but it was ON MY NOSE! And I had to WORK like that! It was ssssoooo hideous. Just use concealer on it, until it goes away (I think mine took over a month).
And next time don't pop a pimple by squeezing. Instead use suction on it. I use the liquid medicine syringes. The hole in the end is about 2 mm--just perfect for fitting over a pimple. Put it over the pimple with the plunger depressed. Then holding it tight to the skin with one hand, use the other hand to pull the plunger out slowly until the plunger is at the end of the tube. Then gently break the suction by pulling the skin down. It may take a few repeats to get it all, but it won't leave a huge purple mark in the middle of your face either.
Clean up afterwards by washing both the syringe and your face with alcohol.

It may or may not go away. What I do is not pop it until it forms a white head then gently squeeze. I just use alcohol on one after I pop it, It usually dries it up pretty fast.

i don't think it will go away soon because i have some.i do notice less on my face though so maybe they take a couple of months to go away. just hide it with make up.

put tooth paste on it when you go to bed and wash it off when you wake up!
