He is scared .......he's not sure of him self....could be a lot of reasons you need to ask him because we could keep geussing and still be all wrong.

There are alot of theories out there. Some are cold feet, some are why pay for what you can get for free. Or maybe he wants something really special and waiting for the right time and having the money for it. Since we don't know your man, or your situation in detail it is really hard to say. The easiest way to find out is to ask your man what the real deal is. I mean if you want the big fancy dream wedding, maybe waiting is worth it. If you don't, march his a s s right down to the court house and get that marriage license then pay the judge and get it done. If he isn't up for that, then tell him he needs to sit down and think about what it is he really wants.

have some patience. a man will only ask you to get married if he is truly ready. if he doesn't want to get married, trust that he would never ask. do not pressure him or things might be liable to make a big mess about the entire situation. keep your head up and when the time is right, everything will fall in place.

Fear factor is real.
Why spend money w/ what he can get for free now - crude but true. He can buy himself a lot of time w/ the invite.
Bring it home - sleep on the couch until the date. Not till he decides when, but till the date. Tell him, which is the truth, you are increasing the odds of your marriage working by almost 40%.

Were you nagging him about a ring? Because he may have given it to you to quiet you. No disrespect, but that's why some guys do it. So now he keeps pushing it back to avoid it. Or, it could just be because he's nervous of the big step. Sit down and ask him what the deal is........encourage him to be honest about it.......

He asked you to marry him to pacify you, and he keeps pushing the date back because he doesn't really want to go through with it. That's just my take on the situation...

he may be scared of making the long term commitment. he is enjoying the freedom now. he can get the milk for free and play house with no strings attached.

cause he's not ready...men dont know what tha hell they want...he probably thought that if he asked u it would shut u up..make u stay..make u happy...if he pushes it bk one more time break up with him and see what he does..if he acts all nonchalant about it like the break up is no big deal..then he never wanted to marry u..
