I started dating this guy and he was really nice. I liked him, he said he really liked me. He was pretty good at calling me almost every night to say hello, which was cool. 2 or 3 weeks ago he called me, said he was really looking forward to our next date and that he would call me the following day (we were telling each other good night). I haven't heard from him since. He did not show up at our date and never called again. I called him a few times and his phone just rang and rang till it reached his voicemail. I sent emails too, no answer. If he was dead, his phone would be turned off. Is he ignoring me? Could he have been lying about liking me? Why would a guy fall of the face of the earth like that? I dont understand. Please help :(

If he was dead (or even in the hospital) his phone wouldn't necessarily be turned off. Unless someone turns it off for him the phone company will keep his number active until they they decide any overdue bills are too overdue. If he pays his phone bill through an automatic bill paying system, then his phone will stay active until his bank account or credit card that pays the bill is canceled.

Why do women always think it's about them? A guy hasn't shown up for a date on time or something and they automatically think that he's stood her up. Damn. There are some things that occur in life that are more important or have nothing to do with you.

Edit: the second part of my answer is directed more at the responders than at you, pochi_the_puppie_girl. You at least entertained the possibility that he didn't simply stand you up, which is rare in my life experience to see a woman do. You simply didn't carry the possibility far enough before dismissing it as not feasible.

maybe he met someone else. do you have a mutual friend? if so i'd call him or her and ask about him just to be sure he is ok. other than that. forget him. he'll call you when the other girl realizes what a jerk he is, then you can ignore his calls. but listen to his silly excuse first and see if its worth falling for.

To use a cliché: I just don't think he was that into you. Yes, you had a "nice" time, but obviously he decided you weren't for him, he didn't know how to tell you and now he's made himself incommunicado to you. I'd take the hint and move on......dating can be such a *****....!

either this guy left you and is a coward to tell you in your face....or something is holden him back from getting a hold of you
....i say hang on a bid and see what happens.....if you get a hold of him ask questions....but try not to yell at him or be over worried....it only makes things worse...i had the same thing happen to me and my bf

His attitude towards you is the best evidence that he doesn't like you. So you needly spend time and energy in thinking the fair. You must be absorbed in your work and do better.Don't be depressed,my friend!
