i read few points about what has been said, but in this world we are tested, there is good and bad in the world, thats why its up to us to have faith and belive, thats why Satan is there to lead astray, the ppl who do cruelty nd violence will end up in hell, if God was to bring peace in this world then what wud the point of us living, and what wud the point of God being there to judge, ppl choose to do wht dey do, dnt u tink der has to be sumfin out there to judge bad and good pple, its like saying anyone can do bad stuff, take easy way of life, like fraud rape, robbery, murder and still die like anyone else who who might do good things and work hard to live an honest life, u get me it has to be sumfin out der to judge us, it wnt be fair for ppl to live and die who between dem do good and bad.

God will not make it easy for us to belive in him, then der wud be no point of life as everyone wil know dey have to do good deeds in order to go Heaven, its about testing and having Faith, der have been miralces but its for people to belive and ask urselfes, its likea test of character, if ur strong minded or weak minded, God won just put in the plate for u to belive, he will show u way and den its up top us to go that way or not.

In order:
1. I don't believe in any gods or supernatural entities because I see no reason to. There is absolutely no proof of the existence of anything supernatural.
2. When we die, we cease to exist. That's it. Game over.
3. Just because something is old doesn't make it good or right. They've lasted as long as they have because people get indoctrinated when they are young and then pass the belief to their children. Children are very vulnerable to what their elders believe and will profess the same beliefs to please their parents.
4a. I rather doubt this is a true story; it sounds like an example.
4b. People do all sorts of things under stress that they would never ordinarily do. Why do believers curse god's name when bad things happen to them? BTW, this happens all the time--been there, heard that.

I don't believe in "God" I think there were visionaries that knew people need something to believe in. People need hope, they need a purpose something to make life make sense. I think those "holy" men were just very wise and used their influence to bring out the best in people so they would live peacefully and have meaning to their lives. As for the books, they're simply that books. Story books handed down. The bible wasn't written in one night and didn't magically appear. It was written over a period of time by many men. Its a book of stories about morals and stories on why and how to be a good person.
There were too many horrible acts carried out in the name of god and religion for a higher being to just stand by and let happened. Theres too much cruelty, violence, pain and suffering in the world for there to be a conscious God.
If you had the power to bring peace on earth and make everything OK and create a beautiful world (with or with out humans) wouldn't you do it?

i do believe in a god but not in the same religion as yours may be.i believe through wicca religion which you worship the God and the Goddess of earth.they have made the earth and the sun, stars, and whatnot.but i think if i died tonight than i will go to summerland and rest.for all that abides the witch's rede let it be known that they will be blessed from the God and Goddess with bright blessings.if we all abided by the witch's rede than the world would be soooo safe that we can sleep outside.hope this answers your question.
blessed be,

I don't believe in god(s) because there is no evidence. And for the gods of the holy books you mention..there is actually tons of evidence that they don't exist.

When you die, it is exactly the same for you as it was before you were born.

I think these cults have survived because the ideas espoused in them are memes with high survival rates.

I think the stories of "deathbed conversions" are for the most part just lies made up to sooth the minds of the sheeple from thinking that their friends and loved ones are going to be eternally tortured by the deity that they praise.

I am willing to believe in God but I don't see that the concept is all that helpful. And I certainly don't follow your logic: Life is unfair, therefore God exists? Half the cynics ask, "If God exists, why is life unfair?"

Life IS unfair, therefore lawyers and insurance companies exist. But God? The universe doesn't owe us compensation for our inconvenience. Otherwise, it would have asked us whether we preferred to be born in the first place. Life just happens. God or not, you should make the best of it.

I've never seen any concrete evidence to support the existence of an invisible man who lives in the sky. I think people are so alone that they'll believe anyone who tells them that they're part of some big cosmic movie. I don't pray. Period. Sinking or not.

I have said several times that our innate nature is Devinne. Many who profess to be atheist. in circumstance when they are trouble they resort to prayer. God exists and if you want to see God you can. In only two weeks it is simple. the human mind is trained not to see the Lord but the Lord is just behind a Vile. If you can do it this is how it is done. WHATEVER YOU SEE HUMANS ANIMALS, PLANT LIFE ANYTHING AT ALL EVEN THE ROCKS. SEE GOD IN THEM. IN TWO WEEKS OF THIS PRACTICE YOU WILL SEE GOD IN ALL HIS GLORY. THEN YOU CAN TELL THE WHOLE WORLD THAT GOD EXISTS

I don't believe in God because there is no firm evidence for his existence (by "firm", I mean things that cannot be explained in any other way), nor do my senses and own rational mind indicate to me that such a supreme being exists.

All "holy" books are dangerous fictions. They last because they fulfill a need for dogma and deity-worshipping.

My wife (as a child) prayed to God for help and God did not answer.

Her faith waned that day and has never come back

I don't believe that a perfect being would demand that I worship it. That's a little too vain for perfection.
