Here's an idea that may or may not apply. Every feeling or emotion has an origin. Some we're aware of, some we're not. If this is really causing her or you discomfort, I'd highly recommend an emotional release technique I learned from a book called Feelings Buried Alive Never Die...It's very simple and extremely effective.

For example, we live in a cramped space with lots of clutter and I'm constantly bumping into things and hurting myself. Whenever it would happen, I would get REALLY ANGRY, almost uncontrollably so. I didn't understand why and it troubled me. So, I used the technique in the book mentioned above, which takes about three minutes and ever since then (it's been about two weeks now), when I bump into things I don't get angry.

Even if the heebie-jeebie feeling doesn't move you to try it, I'm sure there are other issues it could help anyone with!

define a heebie-jeebie feeling, maybe shes tapping into subconscious memories of something tragic that happened early in her life. . .or she may have the dreaded heebie-jeebies.

she is probably afraid of the things she picks up. i get the heebie jeebies from spiders and bees
