I never feel hungry anymore. I usually will eat anyways though because I don't want to starve my body, and the thought of food sounds good, but I'm never actually hungry. If I wanted to, I probably could go all day without eating. How can I get my appetitie back?

I don't do drugs, drink alcohol, smoke, or anything like that. I'm not pregnant- and I'm 14.

To everyone that has answered so far-
I do exercise regulary: I'm in pre-season soccer, so 5 days a week we usually work out, and then 2 days a week I have soccer practice, and then I have a game on the weekend.

What's your activity level like? That could be part of it. Your body could just be going through a little phase, you're still young and your body still has a lot of changing to do. Also how long has this been going on? If it continue for more than a couple of weeks I would set up an appointment with your doctor. But continue to eat healthy, it's good that you know not to starve yourself. Let your parents know too, if you haven't already. Good luck!

A lack of appetite is usually a sign of depression. Depression is not always that visible so don't dismiss just because you don't feel sad. If it is depression, please seek professional advice, don't worry it is very common. If it's not depression, heavy physical activity will usually recharge your appetite. After a good cardio workout or fun, safe physical activities with friends, you will be starving. Play some ball, go to an amusement park, or any fun and physical activity should get your appetite back. Make sure you look into the depression aspect of it too.

Practise some exercise. It'll make you hungry. Remember that your body always needs compensation for hard effort. If you're not feeling hungry it means you have not reached your full potential, either physically or intellectually.

There a variety of possibilities - physical illness, depression, stress, hormonal changes, etc. If something traumatic has happened recently in your life or if you are going through some kind of big transition, chances are this is your reaction to stress. If you are concerned, please go see your doctor to rule out any possible physical causes. If you are depressed, he or she may also be able to help you either through medication or a counseling referral or (more likely) both.
