Most "athiests" who come here, no matter how angry they may seem, probably have legitimate questions about God that haven't been answered satisfactorily by anyone.

I know as a non-believer that I have approached the Church numerous times with questions, only to be ignored, shunned, or looked down upon. I don't perceive true Christianity to include self-righteousness. If I'm on here asking questions, it's because I'm disgusted with "Christians" who so violently disgrace the true meaning of their religion. The prophet Mohammed was quoted as saying "I admire your Jesus and fear your Christians."

This is how I think it should be:

When I say I am a Christian I am not shouting I am clean livin'
I'm whispering I was lost. Now I'm found and forgiven.

When I say I am a Christian I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say I am a Christian, I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.

When I say I am a Christian, I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting that I have failed and need God to clean my mess.

When I say I am a Christian, I'm not claiming to be perfect.
My flaws are for too visible but God believes I am worth it.

When I say I am a Christian, I feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches so I call upon His name.

When I say I am a Christian, I'm not holier than thou.
I am just a simple sinner who received God's good grace somehow.

Maya Angelou.

Not all Atheists are smart-alecs and from my observations, smart-alec comments come followers of all religions and beliefs in this forum.

I think you are going to get more gung ho atheists here than any other section, because they want to "Dis-Prove" God. They take one thing from their past and use it as a way to say "Look, religious people are crazy and/or bad people". That's what you get. So see, you get a cycle of "You're crazy", "There is a God" "There is no God" "Leave us alone" "you leave US alone", and it goes on and on. So, my advice to everyone. Let it go, just talk about serious questions, ignore the people who just want to be annoying and want attention, and move on. It's not worth it, believe me.

I never infer. I do imply and I do respond. And who the hell do you think you are to prohibit anyone from responding to questions or asking them? Guess the next step would be to start banning the religions with which you disagree, eh?

Cleared? I'm sorry but if you are going to post on a public forum then you've got to prepare yourself to hear the public's opinion whether you agree or not. Something about the that other group of laws to follow...besides the bible. you know?!... free speech.

No, I don't. And I'm a Christian. I welcome their questions and comments, even when I strongly disagree with them. Perhaps the reason atheists are so active on the R&S forum is because they are dissatisfied with their beliefs and they are seeking meaning in their lives. (Or, maybe they're just trying to offend us believers.)

You're only going to rile up that "You Are Reported!" lady, and you don't want that -- even if you did help a little old lady cross the street.
