i so agree with you. people are so stupid...it's like c'mon, don't piss off the people that handle your food. i never had a problem with people until i started working as a waitress the past 4 years. and now i became that person that just hates people. i think the funniest movie i've watched was the movie called "waiting." for all those who worked in the food industry...oh my gosh you have to watch this movie, you can so relate to it and it's hilarious.

As well as the causes listed so far (ie wind, eating too much, eating too fast) the reason it happens in babies is that the valve at the top of the stomach which closes to keep stomach contents down for adults doesn't close properly in a baby as it isn't fully developed. If you aren't already, change bubs nappy before the feed, not after, and keep them upright for half an hour after the feed if possible. Also, make sure the nappy isn't tight around their belly and avoid clothes with waistbands which can put pressure on the stomach. If baby is gaining weight normally, then the vomiting isn't causing bub any probs. I suggest using plastic backed bibs whenever bub is awake, and carrying a cloth nappy with you when you go out with your baby...and lots of papertowel at home for cleaning the floor!! :-) If baby isn't gaining weight there is medication that can be prescribed swhich is supposed to help stop the vomiting but it's best if you can avoid these.

For the REAL.
I worked fast food for nearly 2 years (was manager in all but name for 2 parlors) And I can safely say that it doesn't get better.
On the other hand it can't get worse.

My rule of thumb was treat everyone nice, ***** about the divas and arsehats, remember the regulars and try to make them smile. Angry pissants hate to be ruder than the guy beside them. *beam*.

The customer may always be right, but that doesn't mean we have to serve them. Or it doesn't mean we have to bother to really acnowledge them. I've found that smiling and being *more* bubbly will either piss them off so bad they don't come back or make them feel like the asshat they just were and be nicer next time.

So, really, just smile, and if you really need to destress just look at them and immagine a giant glob of seagull poop ruining their primped hair with them unaware.

There will always be people like this in the world. The best you can do is treat people nice and hope it'll rub off on them. You can't change others but you can change yourself, and in doing so others will hopefully react in the same manner.

I'm not saying you're wrong or whatever. Actually I think you are quite right. But service goes both ways, and you have to understand from their POV. They might have had a bad day.

My motto is "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". Maybe like that the world would be a better place. :)

Because to them, you're just a faceless person in a uniform. They don't care that you've had ten people scream at you for something that is completely out of your control. I spent over 8 years in a bunch of retail positions from fast food to call center work, and it makes no difference. If they want to yell and scream at you, they will because they think it's their right.

I am ALWAYS nice to fast food and retail employees. I have BEEN THERE DONE THAT so I see NO reason in being rude. I always use please and thank you as well!!! I think that EVERYONE should be required to work for at least six months in the fast food and/or retail industry to teach empathy!!!

I'd like to know why fast food places never get my order right!

"No ketchup please" means no ketchup - not extra ketchup deliberately smeared all over the place! Fast food workers are often mean and bitter, assuming the worst of the customer.
