I would go to navy pier if the weather was nice. There are lots of places you can go on Rush near Division streets. The whole river north and streeterville neighborhoods cater to out of towners coming to chicago. If you are in doubt. go into a nearby hotel and ask the guy at the front desk where they would go. Or you could pick up a Chicago Reader or Red Eye for free and get information on what is going on downtown

I liked the bars and clubs on the Near North Side. All within walking distance. I liked that area better than downtown.

Try Rock Bottom Brewery on Grand & State. Good beer and food. Cactus isn't too bad on S. Wells. Tuesday, $3 pitcher Miller Lite....yuck, but cheap. Elephant & Co. on Adams is ok.
