My sister died, my brother died, my Daddy and I dealt with cancer---now my brother in law had a stroke at the ripe old age of 50. I'm sorry, but I'm getting real tired of praying and begging. I've lived a good Christain life (as has my entire family). We're ready to chuck it all and just be heathens!!!

that's it blame god, that seems to be everybody's answer, it must be gods fault.

but when the pain fades, you will realize that God loves you, and your pain hurt him too.

I have a mother, father, brother, two sisters, and a daughter in heaven, and there is no way that I am going to miss seeing them again.

Now, I am sure you know the story of Adam and Eve. When Satan led Adam and Eve into disobeying God, an important question was raised. Satan questioned God's right to rule. By calling God a liar, who withholds good from his subjects, Satan charged that God is a bad ruler. (Genesis 3:2-5)
Had God simply destroyed the rebels, and made a fresh start, he wouldn't have answered the question raised regarding his right to rule. Remember, the rebels were not the only ones involved. Millions of angels were watching. How God handled the rebellion would greatly affect all those angels and eventually, all intelligent creation. So what did he do? He has allowed Satan to show how he would rule mankind. God has allowed humans to govern themselves under Satan's guidance. God knows that all honest-hearted humans and angels will benefit from seeing that Satan and his fellow rebels have failed and that humans cannot govern themselves.

If God were to prevent horrible diseases would he not in effect, be supporting the case of the rebels? Would that not make people think that humans can govern themselves without disastrous results? Why so long, you might ask? Ample time is needed for any ruler to prove his worth. And that's what God has given Satan. Mankind has made advances in science and other fields, but injustice, poverty, crime and war have grown ever worse. Satan's thousands of years of rule is clearly a failure!!!

About the harm that has been done during the long rebellion against God, we should remember that God is Almighty. Therefore, he can and WILL undo all the effects of mankind's suffering. Revelation 21:4 promises, "God will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."

jodijs: I can understand just how frustrated, down, and hurt you are right now. Please understand that God is not "laying it on" you or the love ones. God works with all humans with the approach of offering people opportunity and choice. God does not force His will on any of us. When you read the Holy bible, you find that many of the people, who God [Jesus] has a relationship with, are people that are going through trials. These trials teach us about ourselves and help to strengthen our relationship with Him. Trials CAN work out for our own good or to our down fall - depending on how our mind set [ relationship] is with Jesus ! The onus is on us. Remember; people , who are not Christians, have problems too with death and loss. You will have been deceived to think to the contrary. Don't forget to factor Satan into the "equation" because he likes to sow fear, doubt and worry around when things aren't looking up. Satan doesn't want you to remain a Christan but God does and will never quit on you nor desert you ! Roll with the punches - hang in there! What can be better right now, than those who died being with Jesus ? No more pain - no more "worldly" concerns and never will either, your brother or sister ever, die again !!! Think of it - total peace and a future which transcends anything here on earth !!! They are waiting for the rest of us.!!!

I'm so sorry about your losses. I can't tell you how much it hurts to know the pain that you're in. I hate to see you so distraught.
The thing about prayer is that you have to believe that your prayer has been answered when you pray it. The person who is sick needs to believe more than anyone else.
I may be reading too much into this, but we do a lot of things to bring on our own illnesses: smoking, drinking, poor diet, etc. We bring on our own trials and are forced to face them. Don't let your faith be shaken. Hold on to it. I didn't hear you say that you or your father died of cancer. It sounds like you survived it.

This is were Faith must step in. You must believe that God is in full control of your life. You must know that God doesn't bring evil into our lives, that Satan is the one at work. You and your family must unite in prayer and believe that God will help you and your family overcome this evil that is trying to make a Strong-Hold in your life and your family. You must get your friends and your church to pray in united prayer for you and your family. I will pray too for you and just know to never give up hope in God. If you do then the enemy has won. Good Luck and God Bless

living a good "Christian" life isn't gona change how ur life is. God gives each one of us trials of different sorts so he can test our faith in him. The Bible says that he will not test us more than we can handle. Having faith that Jesus is God and that He died for our sins to forgive us might help, but that doesn't mean that God will put a protective barrier around us so we dont get hurt. He PROMISES us that there will be trials and persecution. James says to consider it pure joy when u face trials of all kinds, u no that ur faith is getting stronger because of it. Besides, is death that bad if u believe in Him and the promise of heaven? i would say no and i look forward to the day that i see my Savior. So mayb all of us should thank him when we face trials, death, and pain, because of the good that can come out of it.

God gives up trials to test our faith and to see if we will depend on him. Even the best Christians I know suffer the way you are..Just pray and hang in there. No that God will bring you through this and that somewhere throughout your life you will meet someone who may be in your place and you can share your story about how you came through. I have it said that God will answer your prayers: it will either be yes, no or WAIT. I hate that..I want answers right now as do you but God may be telling you to WAIT and trust in him.

The answers these people give just astound me, no matter how many times I've seen it. There is no god, and the sooner you realize this, the sooner you will be healed of all the crazy notions and self-abuse that go along with this belief. I don't know that I could offer you any words of wisdom, but I'd be willing to try. You can e-mail me from my profile page. I've been through more loss than most people go through in a lifetime.
I wish you strength and peace.

To all here who have no idea of what your saying, clearly the Bible Scriptures say that God does not put us under trials, He does not cause anything to happen to us, you are part of the problem when you make God look bad. God only allows us to undergo trials because if He constantly removed them He would in a sense be helping Satan prove his point. God only answers prayers of those who are in harmony with His will, and that means worshiping God in truth, real truth, God's truth. Not doctrines of men.

Im sorry for your losses. I too, just lost my mother. I sat with her and watched her pass from this earth. She told me she wanted to go home, I asked home to her house, and she said no home to heaven. I prayed and asked God to take her quickly and not make her suffer, within 10 minutes she was gone. I cried until I made myself sick, then suddenly I thought to myself, that I was just feeling sorry for me, not her, who was sick and in pain, and suffering from lung cancer. It was her that was lonely. How could I want to keep her with me and have her miss out on going to Heaven, where there is no tears, no pain, where she can be with all of the saints that have gone before her, and be with the Lord walk on streets of gold. How could I keep from wanting that happiness for her? Don't mourn your losses, miss them, but believe they are with the Lord, and that when you pass that you will be with them. God doesn't give us sickness, and disease, he gives us life, even after death! I will pray for you that you will comfort and peace.
