I think there is a big difference between cheap and careful. I have no problem with someone who minds the way they spend their money, but cheap I cannot tolerate. Cheap carries a very negative connotation with me. It's like if someone HAS the money, drives up for a date in a fancy car, then takes you to KFC for dinner. They have the money, but you're not worth them spending any of it on you. I think that says something bad about that person's character. I am generous with my things and my very limited money, so I cannot stand a miser.

My cousin's husband is so cheap, he won't let her buy name brand ketchup--even though she really likes it and it's only 10 cents more than generic! That's cheap....not for me, thanks!

Cheap Men are usually a problem for "grabby women" as otherwise, it tends to be a lot more of a "team effort" and they enjoy spending together or saving together.

If someone has an ove-rinflated sense of their own worth and expects folks to shower them with expensive presents, then I guess in time they will end up with the kind of parter they need/deserve - usually a "sugar daddy" type who will pay handsomly for their favours - until they find someone better has come along. Guess who gets dumped :)

Damnright, it's a real shame yo man ain't dumb enuf to spend all his money on his woman. Why don't you get a job and pay half your way. It's the 21 Century, and ya'll demanding such equity and equality and all.
You are really shallow, talk about the men looking only at the surface of women and using them. You think your man is a walking ATM machine and your are some goddess. Bull.

Yes, I did use Check Spelling, the wording in intentional.

Cheapness is an annoying trait, but I don't mind frugality. A guy may not be able to spend a lot, but it's the small things like flowers on Valentine's Day or your birthday that counts

yo chula!!! cheap is good.. whats the difference anyway?. look on the tags of the brand named stuff. most are made CHEAP in ASIA!!!!. you can go to any asian country(even Japan) and buy fake Gucci, Chanel , Rolex and other brand name items..As for shoes,,its the same. most are made in china and korea. So why pay for a BRAND watch that tells the same time as fake or cheap one.

Same as sunglasses..a "windstopper" is just as goos as a Versace .....lol.....So being cheap means to "be smart"
"wealthy" not "RICH" people are cheap to an extent. they let their money make more so that it passes on to its next generation...

I would my date to a KFC in a heartbeat and wont buss a sweat worrying if she's pissed that i am cheap..

Do you mean cheap or frugal? Living beyond ones means is a bad idea- forces smart people to be frugal or "cheap". If you mean frugal- well, that is different.
If I were a man I would be scared to death of gold digging women who think they get to decide how much to spend on them.... Greedy, tacky and low class.....

I just find them cheap, not annoying. I think that cheap men and annoying men are two different things.

Yes, very annoying. You mean the ones that take you to Dairy Queen for lunch in their Lexus SC?

depends on what they are being cheap about. While I don't really need extras - I do insist on the basics. And Quality - why buy it twice?
