The other solution is to use open source software virtualdub along with the divs codecs. divs codecs can be downloaded from free-codecs.com. You need to install these codecs. And the nin virtualdub software you can convert your vidoes to .avi format with any file size you want. The quality of avi files are better than wmv in my knowledge. In virtualdub you can also convert multiple files at the same time.
