1. Something unusual would be to do your placement in the only country in Africa that has Spanish as its official language - Equatorial Guinea. It's an isolated country, but it will be a great experience, and something impressive and out-of-the-ordinary for your cv. Have a look at the agencies listed in 2. e) below, to give you ideas about the type of work they need there.

2. If you believe in yourself, then you can create your own opportunities. I suggest that you make contact with appropriate diplomatic representatives, such as the following.
a) Embassy of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, London http://www.fco.gov.uk/servlet/Front?pagename=OpenMarket/Xcelerate/ShowPage&c=Page&cid=1007029396086&a=KDiplomaticList&aid=1013618544508
b) British High Commission, Abuja, Nigeria http://www.britishhighcommission.gov.uk/servlet/Front?pagename=OpenMarket/Xcelerate/ShowPage&c=Page&cid=1101399478648
[Note: The UK has no resident representation in Equatorial Guinea. All enquiries should be made directly to the British High Commission in Abuja.]
c) European Union, Libreville, Gabon http://ec.europa.eu/comm/external_relations/repdel/delegations_en_a.cfm
[Note: The EU has no resident representation in Equatorial Guinea. All enquiries should be made directly to the Delegation of the European Commission in Libreville.]
d) United States of America Embassy, Malabo, Equatorial Guinea http://www.malabo.usembassy.gov/contact.html
e) List of UN organisations and other NGOs in Malabo http://www.devdir.org/files/Equatorial_Guinea.PDF

3. That's a big challenge I have given you, but I think it will be worthwhile in so many ways. However you can always wimp out and go to Spain or Mexico.
