I swear by nailtiques. Having worked in a beauty supply store in the past, I can tell you lots of customers came in with referrals from doctors for this product. It is a clear nail polish that can be worn alone or under colored polish. it dries almost instantly, so it is easy to use. You should try formula #2 for soft/weak nails. Call (800)622-7222 if you have any questions, they have always been helpful with me. I guarantee you will see dramatic results in a week or so. However, nailtiques is not cheap - about $14. It is found in Walgreens, nail salons, and beauty supply stores. Another thing that helps alot, believe it or not, is moisturizer. Every night; before bed, rub moisturizer on your cuticles and nails. You only need to use a little bit, and it doesn't take long. Many people have weak nails caused by dryness, and they don't even know it.

There are lot many products available in the market you can try one branded product. But you can fix this problem at home by using some tips, and moreover there will be no side effects if you use some herbal, home made products. try the following method take some almond or olive oil in a bowl heat the oil , when the oil is warm(Luke) then dip your fingers in it for 5 min then wash off with warm water. this is the best method .Apply the night cream or cold cream before retiring for bed For healthy nails and hair take calcium supplements, like milk and eggs.Externally rub your nails with the lemon rind for 5 min then wash off with water,it makes the brittle nails turn hard strong, and make them look fresh.

Take a calcium pill 3 times a day and buy Sally Hansen's 'Hard As Nails'. Apply inside the nail tip as well. This should really help you. There is a also a powdered orange-flavored gelatin you can drink twice a day which you can find probably @ Wal-Mart. Hope this helps!

First of all dont use nail polish...that does no good for your nails.
Try wearing gloves when you clean.
I push my cuticles back with my own nails...its like a lil treatment for my nails, both ways.
Dont use the kind of nail strenghtheners that chip.
Cuticle/finger massages are nice.
There is a nail fortifier made by mary kay...not bad I use it once or twice a month.

I saw my dermatologist about this, and he recommended "Appearex". You can buy it over the counter. You take one small pill a day. The active ingredient is biotin. Good luck.
