You need to find something to change your mood. Put on some music that makes you want to get up and dance. Put on reruns of your favorite tv show. If you don't have any on DVD I say order some. That will give you something to look forward to & happiness is having something to look forward to. You really need to make an effort to change the way you're thinking.
As for the self confidence, change your attitude. People are going to see you the way you see yourself. Be more outgoing, smile more, say "hello" more.
As for being lonely, there are so many ways to make friends. Online there's chatting & groups, penpal sites. If you're in school there's clubs & groups to join.
Only you can change what you don't like about your life.

Why are you so sad? Find something that makes you happy like a hobby or something to get your mind off things. It does sound like you are depressed and need to talk to someone. Life is to short to be sad and lonely. Turn that frown upside down!

find your self confidence then, its there, you just have to dig a few inches to find it, they key thing in self confidence, it beliving in your self, you can tell as many friends that your happy, u dont care what people think, and yada yada yada, you might even convince them, but in the end you cant fool your self.... so you can talk to a friend, or counsiler, if u dont think your strong enough to lift the shovel, but if you try will hard you can...
