I know of someone whose 15 month old swallowed a fish hook recently. This was what she was advised to do. You should watch for any signs of abdominal discomfort or fever, which could indicate a blockage or infection. If you see none, then there's nothing to worry about. The rubber band will pass through in his stool. I would call your pediatrician, however, just to make sure there isn't some special advice for swallowing something rubber or latex.

I recommend calling a doctor as quickly as achievable. It should not be too lots of a situation, because it is sufficiently small to pass for the time of the digestive gadget, and he or she has no longer choked on it, it quite is not a project. once you're nevertheless irritating and you do no longer see the rubber band popping out of her each time quickly (one or 2 days), and you think she swallowed it, then call a doctor. as quickly as returned it quite is not an emergency except she would not look nicely. do no longer hardship, be calm and do exactly what's maximum suitable with out panic. the two wait, or call a doctor, it quite is all.

I'd call the doctor ASAP just in case. I'd worry that it could get tangled in the intestines. It'll probably be OK, but always better to be safe than sorry.

Honestly, until the kid shows other problems, you're probably cool. Kids, and adults, just pass through all the stuff they can't digest.
Gum, for instance. If kids swallow gum, it doesn't stay in there for 7 years. It comes out the next day in their poo.
Sleep easy. It'll all come out in the end.
