Lower the threshold for him to ask YOU out, by simply being nice to him, and making sure you're not sending mixed signals.
Alternatively, don't ask him out but instead ask him to participate in something you could do together. Something innocent, something that wouldn't make him think "she's asking me out on a date." That way you can still be with him. And that's what it's all about, right?

You could live in your grandmothers basement with your 11 cats? watching re-runs of wheel of fortune.. what you need to do is ask one of your friends to talk to one of his friends, and you guys could start a rumor club, or something, but from there you could find out if he likes you, then you tell one of his friends that he need to ask you out.. stay away from that terrible note, that you pass that says if you like me check yes or no or maybe

i am in the same situation that you are in right now but i know wat i have to do and so i am also if there is a dance or any big thing coming up invite him to go with you and if a moment happens then just accedently pop it up or just wait and the right time well came evantully.

ask one of your friends to do it or just like maybe call him so you wont have to do it in person and or maybe just ask on of his friends to do it...these always work
