Uhhmmmm. I must admit that I am circumcised but I am not a Christian nor a Jew. This is an honest question and not I don't know why some Christians are offended.

Independent Republic of Bogensee,
Lol! Oh, sir! How I would love to show you scripture! There's a part of the Bible called the New Testament that talks exactly about what you are talking about. Really, a Jewish person, named Paul, wrote letters to set churches straight on that subject especially.

I will give you first a site that has what I am talking about, in case you don't have a Bible:
biblegateway.com

and look up these verses:
Romans chapters 3 and 4

1 Corinthians 7:18

Galatians 2

Galatians 5:2

Galatians 5:3

It's not a cop out for Christians to say that they are not under the Law of Moses. It's totally supported by the New Testament. We are not under the Law. But for thsoe that are putting themselves under the Law, they must do it all. All 614 or whatever they are. That is why the work of Jesus was to present the possiblity of not having to live perfectly in order to come to Jesus Christ. The Law is nothing to us. In fact, the same writer Paul, rightfully stated that we keep the Law by being in Faith. And that there is a new Law, the Law of Faith. And it's the commonly heard phrase, " The Just shall live by Faith" that we depend upon God keeping that promise.

The sign of circumcision was only given to the seed of Abraham.
Genesis 17:10 This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised. Today in the age of grace we have no such commandment. The Nation of Israel has been blinded and the body of Christ (the church) includes all that would believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for their sins. Today circumcision mean nothing in the sight of God. Galatians 6: 15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.

1 Corinthians 7:19 - "Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God."

Galatians 5:6 - "For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision profits any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

Colossians 3:11 - "Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all."

Nope. Yes, Jesus was because he was born Jewish. This question came up in the early days of the Church when Romans and other Gentiles started converting. They came to the conclusion that you DID NOT first have to become Jewish before becoming Christian, so therefore, Christian males do not have to be circumcised.

Jesus was born a Jew and was circumcised as was their custom. It has nothing whatsoever to do with Christianity.

Christ fulfilled the Mosaic Laws during His mortality. Circumcision, animal sacrifice, and other rigid laws in effect for Israel, was done away. The Ten Commandments remain in force.

No, because He made it so circumcision didn't matter. In the beginning, it was a sign that the people were set apart. But now we don't need something like that to set us apart; it's the inside that matters. That's what Paul told the Jews who griped about that.

He was circumcised.

Luke 2:21

When eight days were completed for his circumcision, he was named Jesus, the name given him by the angel before he was conceived in the womb.

Jesus was a Jew. In order to find pagan converts into christianiy, I believe it was Paul who decided they need not be circumcized

Circumcision was one of the many laws fulfilled by Christ's death. It is not necessary today.
