or did people do that?.Did god make up some religion.for the cave men, then some religion for the american indians, and so forth, as we advanced along. then finnaly got it right with buddhism, I mean Islam, I m sorry, I mean Krisna, darn it ,I really mean Christianity?or could it be Eckankar, which is the one true path back to the god head. if you are an Eckist, then Eckankar is best for you,but its not for everyone.so why not just pick one from a hat.or depend on what your neighbors say is best, think it matters, I think It matters, but which one is best for george, this guy told me he wonted to know the best religious path I have found, since I have studyed so many. is it up to me, to tell him?I think all i can do is tell him what I have experianced spiritually. or not?

WOMEN DID! Back in the early days of the the primitive hunter gatherer culture men went out and did the hunting and the women stayed in the villages or encampments and tended the young, did the food preparation, invented ways of cooking and gathered the available fruits, vegetables, nuts and herbs. In doing so they discovered what was good to eat and what was not, and they also discovered the first remedial remedies and herbal medicines. These early magic medicine women were the first healers and caregivers of the sick and infirmed and passed this knowledge down to their daughters. The very first religions were all about magical powers, spells and remedies, and women had all the magic. After all, they were the life givers, the ones who had the magical power to produce babies, to bring new life into the world. The primitive men of the time had no clear idea what caused pregnancy, it was just part of the womens high magic and most small isolated societies were matriarchal structured. As humankind expanded and grew and became territorial the stronger male warrior presence gained in stature and most of the pagan religions developed into equally divided female/male magical powers with a high preistess and preist. Eventually due to male envy and power dominance these early dual diety shared religions morphed into the patriarchal prophet dominated majority religions of today, with the women in the role as a neccesary but insignificant counterpart. The patriarchal religions grew and came about largly as a result of threat and coercion of punishment, bodily harm or even death for not accepting the patriarchal viewpoint or religious spin. But one thing hasn't changed, religion is still basically all about gaining special magical powers and which religion has the most powerful magic mojo guy, and which one offers the most magical powers to it's followers in the form of extra benifits, the keys to happiness and good fortune, or various rewards of the afterlife. But originally women had all the magical powers, the power to create life, they were the life givers, the creators. All the men did was go out, kill something and drag it back too the women. Women started this whole silly religious ball rolling with their magic and enticed the men to come along. Now look what it got them, second class citizenship, if any standing at all. Up until the last 50 years women have had very little, or a very hidden minor influence in recorded history. Most modern religions won't allow the original creators of religion to take a significant part in the religious excercise, other than being a devoted and dutiful follower. I think a religion can be judged on how well it treats the women. So that gives the two largest ones a pretty much failing grade. Well at least the Christians don't make the weaker sex wear those ridiculous bee keeper suits, or wear a rag around their head. But hey girls, don't blame me, I don't have, need or want any special magical powers, and I'm not religious. I can't take the guilt, shame and suffering meted out, or adhere to the strict rules of conduct, or perform the mostly silly rituals that go along with all the current religious dogmas, and I mean "all" of them. I've taken a hard look at most of them, so just count me out. But hey, if you need that sort of thing, well each to his own, but please, just don't, kill me?

Naturally you should tell him what you have expereinced personally. This will be the best help. And if you feel inclined you could pass on what I understand. If you've not come across Bhakti Yoga and some of the books I mention way below, then you would do well to continue your study.

First I will address the issue of 'many different' religions, then I'll suggest something to tell your freind about the best path.

1. God didn't make up any of them. He has freinds, servants like Jesus and Mohammed who he empowers at certain times to deliver messages to the peple in that are at that time about how they might get closer to him. We need to stop seeing all these 'religious groups' as being the be all and end all of religion.

It is people with narrow vision who see all these different religions. Broader vision allows you to see that there are certain things we can do in life that take us further for God, and certain thinsg we cna do that make us closer. The various paths help us to know what those things might be. Some of them will actually take us closer to God than another. Belonging to a group is not what its all about. Its about relating to God, praying to Him, depending on Him and acting in a way that is pleasing to Him.

2. The latest incarnation of God to appear on this planet with a message for people was Lord Chitanya Mahaprabhu who appeared in Navadvip in India 500 yars ago. His message is also about love for God and that the way to achieve this is by chanting Gods name. All of Gods names are invested with transcendental potency. Allah, Jehovah, Krishna. Any name can be chanted with a little sincerity and humility and faith and the person will come closer to God. Thier hearts become purified by this sound which is non-material.

This process is called Bhakti yoga. Yoga means union with God and Bhakti means loving service. Jesus was teaching Bhakti yoga but he did not call it by these terms (merely a linguistic difference). There is a lot of information about it that is not contained in the bible. Please have your friend look at some of the sources below.

When God Created human beings, He Revealed Himself to them. But as they multiplied, they got His Message all mixed up, that is why so many religions formed(the vast majority of them even became polytheistic).

So God Revealed Himself to Abraham & his posterity, & from there, Brought Forth His Son.

So the answer is 'no,' God Did Not Create over 200 religions. God Only Founded a couple. The rest came from people's misguided attempts to regain what they learned from Him.

No, "for God is a God not of disorder, but of peace (1Corinthians14:33)So anything that has disorder, is not from the true God of the Bible God only has one true religion which is Organised, and has order within it, But it is Satan that creates Disorder and has made False religion for his purpose of misleading the nations away from the true God, and blinding people into following him as god. That is why there is so much disorder among religions, thatalsi is why there are so many religions, and Satan poses as god.(2Corinthians4:4)(Rev12:9)

Why the hell would a god make up 200 religions, or even 1 for that matter? (beside that, there are thousand of religions, not 200).

If there is an omni^3 whatnot out there somewhere, are we honestly to believe it is obsessed about the beliefs and rituals of humans? It's hard to imagine anything less sensible than that.

Well, the Good Book (The Bible) tells us all about
what God told us he wanted us to do. So Christians
should follow the ten commandments, show mercy,
do justice, and love your neighbor as yourself, but
love the Lord Your God with all your heart. Since then,
people have decided how they want to worship God
so we have different ways in which to do that. Some
like quiet prayer and meditation. Others like loud band
music and praise the Lord with hands in the air. So, once
again, we all have a choice of worshipping in the church
of our choice, and in the manner which we feel most
comfortable.

People have made up all the religions that are in the world today except for one, and that one is the right way which is explained in the Bible, if you follow the Bible and do as God said to do then that is not wrong and cant be wrong.. God said to make your own salvation with fear and trembling not your own religion!

Nope, just 2, Judaism and Catholicism. He told Jewish Prophets that he would send a Messiah to start a new covenant which fulfilled the old Jewish covenant. He sent Jesus, who founded the Catholic Church and made Simon Peter the head of the Church on earth.(Because God's the head of the Catholic Church, but there has to be someone here to guide it.)

According to the Bible, God put in the heart of everyman the knowledge of Him. You just have to choose to accept it.
The stars tell the story of creation and redemption through Christ. Astrology has polluted this.
Every civilization is searching for their creator. That's why there are so many "religions". If you search for Him, you will find Him, if you search with all your heart.
