Ive been diagnosed with severe panic disorder, been on meds for years then weaned off of them for another few years. My anxiety attacks seem to be less severe as I have gotten older or I guess I know how to handle them better. The problem now is that I worry about EVERYTHING well not everything, just everything that has to do with my health. IF i get the slightest pain i think the worse. I could be a dr from all the research i have done in checking my symptoms. I get a headache and I think im having a an anyurism, a little twige in my chest im having a heart attack, well now the latest is that I think I have kidney disease. How do I stop?? I so scared of dying and getting some awful disease. Then I get scared that when something real happens no one will believe me because of all the aches and pains I complain about. My own dr thinks im crazy... I went for a ct scan of my head and refused the dye because i thought i ws going to have a reaction to it! Any advise?

Download a hypnosis MP3 on anxiety, some websites have a little sample you can listen to. It might take up to three weeks for the hypnosis to fully kick in, though you start getting benefits from the first time. Listen once a day, before bedtime is fine, or anytime when you're least like to be disturbed. Since you have a panic disorder I will put your mind at ease concerning hypnosis. You will be in a relaxed state, like daydreaming, so if something happens around the house you will be able to respond calmly. You might hear all of the hypnosis session, or a little, doesn't matter, it's working. If you miss a day or two, that's fine, just pick up where you left off. Best of luck.

pfft... gods not going to help you, you have a serious mental condition.

I know how you feel, i was diagonosed with severe bipolar disorder and anxiety ages ago, and its not about mind over matter, if you could talk yourself out of having a disease, you would have ages ago, right?

My therapist has given me some big advice, and this is how i've learned so that i dont get anxiety as much anymore.

When i would get sick, i would also get too scared to go get help, and you know what i started doing? I did it anyway.
Thats all it took. I got a cat scan and an mri, and i did everything they said, i didnt die, and soon, i was able to do it for everything.

This is going to take a measure of inner strength for you, so talk to your mom, tell her you have to do this. That you need her, or your father, whoever makes you feel most comfortable, a lover even, and you have to just do it.

What happened to me, is during it was hard, i almost freaked out, i cried the whole time, and when i came out, i realized i was fine.

So later, i did it again, had to get another x ray, and i still was a little freaked out, but it was easier.

Now, i have no physical fears, i got tattoos to prove to myself that i can handle pain, and its worth it in the end, i smoke, and i no longer fear death.
But that took about 12 years to get to.

Just be brave. Understand that its not that youre crazy, its that you have a condition that makes it harder for you to be strong.
If you need someone else to talk to about it, just let me know, i have a lot of insight into these sort of things.

Oh, and good luck. :)

Know this: The Bible says that "All things work together for good to them that love God..." Jesus said that worrying won't add a single day to our lives so why worry at all? My wife worries all the time so I'll tell you what I tell her. Here it is: If she lives 10 more years and I only live 2 more years, I say I will have "lived" longer than her. That is because the quality of life for her 10 years will be ruined by worry and my 2 years will be full and happy from lack of worry. Which would you rather have? Ten worrysome years or two worryfree years? It's your choice. And really the whole thing comes down to this...who's in control? You or God? The answer is God. From what I've read of your question, your worrying starts whenever you suspect your health may be out of your control. But that fact is, your health is never in YOUR control. Who do you think decides if your heart beats the next beat? You? NO!! Who decides if your lungs will function in the next minute? You? Nope! It's all God. You're here because HE says so. And you'll be gone when He says it's your time. HE CONTROLS IT ALL. Put your faith in HIM. Trust His good judgement. And the only thing you'll ever need to worry about is if you love Him or not - "ALL things work together for good to them that love God. Do you love God? If you do you're in good hands - better than Allstate. :) Just trust that He is never taken by surprise and knows everything you're going through before you do. He loves you...like a Father. Good luck- I'll mention you in my prayers.

Walk, baby! Walk! Go walking. Seriously - I know it sounds WAY too simple, but it will help. When you walk, make yourself notice the things around you. Look at the sky. Look at the grass. Just keep walking.

And when you get that funky thing where you are too conscious of yourself, recognize it and get moving! If you can't walk at that moment, then do something comforting. This'll sound nuts - but rub your arms with your hands. Put each hand on the opposite arm and just rub. Not hard. While you're doing that, make yourself think about the things you've done medically to be sure that you're okay. THINK about the fact that you've had yourself checked for every single thing. Use your mind. Make your logical mind talk to your illogical mind. Have a 'crazy' conversation with yourself. And then distract yourself. Walk! Get outside - it will help you get outside of your head. MAKE yourself focus on external things.

I used to have anxiety attacks. I literally outsmarted myself and they stopped. Motion is key. MOVEMOVEMOVE!

A million things to do in a life time and you waste it on worrying about your poor little existence? You have 2 choices...keep it up and self destruct OR knock it off, stop the thought pattern, its a bad habit!
Time to make a better life!
Good luck to you friend.

We will all die sometime so why die worrying? I used to be a worrier too and I went for therapy for it, most of my life when I was younger was spent wasted on worry. My therapist had me write a bunch of things on little sheets and we put them in a baloon and sent them into the air for the Lord to handle but from then on she told me to pray and give it ALL to God to handle it worked so well for me I think I forget to worry now, try it and I hope it will help, it is such a great feeling to see the baloons go up and you just feel so relieved!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is a waste of time and the bible even tells us that, turn to it for a lot of relief too!!! good luck

Yoga. Take yoga now.
You need to get more in tune with your body
so you can tell the difference between a twinge and a heart attack.
yoga gets you very connected to the reality inside your body.
which is what you need. take a yoga class immediatley.
