No. Neither weight nor healthy food will affect height. It is dependent on genetics. Being short has its advantages. Make the most of it....and be patient. Maybe you're not done growing yet. If you are, then you are luckier than those 6'1" girls who tower over all the guys in your class. Right? You can wear heels! :)

Hi! I'm interested in your question because I struggled with trying to lose weight for a long time! Here's what I found out:

1. Boys have that big growth spurt in their teenage years, but girls DON'T. Girls generally slow/stop growing about the time of their periods. When girl's periods start is dependent upon the body fat percentage that they have--you can estimate when girl's puberty starts with their body fat percentage--isn't THAT interesting!

2. Some kids stop generating human growth hormone (HGH) too early. When this happens, they just don't grow, and doctors are reluctant to do the testing that determines this. If someone is diagnosed with having a lack of HGH, the process is VERY expensive, and the kid has to take HGH by injection a couple of times a day for often several years. Help can be gotten through grants from pharmaceutical companies, if that's your problem.

DON'T play around with your weight. The only thing you'll end up doing is hurting yourself. Its good to eat healthy, but don't think that losing weight will make you taller.

What I recommend, is talking to your doctor about it. Maybe he/she will feel like that is too small for someone your age, and maybe he/she will perscribe some growth hormone pills. However, it is most likely that wil not happen. Drink lots of milk, and orange juice to promote calcium growth. And, be sure being tall even runs in your family.

No. Your height is based on how tall your Mom and Dad are and how tall their blood relatives are. Odds are you're not going to stray far from the height most of them are.
Eating healthy is good in that if you are going to be taller than you are now, your body will have the energy and resources to grow.
Smoking will slow down/stop any growth that you may have coming your way so that's definitely out.

Depends on how old you are. Eating a well-balanced diet when still a teenager will have some influence on your growth however don't forget that genetics is a huge factor. If you parents are short, you're gonna be short.

It is not related to weight but of course if you're still in your growth years and lose weight and become healthier, it might help.
But it's not directly linked.

Your height has to do with you dna, not with what you eat. Im also 5'3 and there is nothing that you can eat that will make you taller.
