11 tyenol and 6 aspirin in a 24 hour period To help ease pain ...

After taking the last tyenol about 20 minutes ago he had bad pains in his stomach...although it has eased now...

what could have caused the pains? could it have been to much medicine? He says he's feeling better now...but should we be concerned?

probably the meds- he may have an ulcer that the aspirin irritated. He needs to ease up on the tylenol- that stuff accumulates in the liver.

Lay off the Tylenol and aspirin. Tylenol will do a number on the liver and the aspirin will make a stomach bleed. I hope he doesn't get cut any time soon. He does need to take something to coat his stomach. Make sure he has not taken too many Tylenol, look at the bottle for the max amount in 24 hours. If he is going to rotate meds, he should do Tylenol and ibuprofen by the directions on the bottle. He can take a few more ibuprofen than directed on the bottle, 800 mg's every 8 hours or so.

First of all if he was having that much pan he should have gone to the hospital. second of all Tylenol sucks as far as medicines are concerned. anytime I have pain i usually take 3 Motrin or any kind of ibuprofen and only 3 times a day. Always takee any kind of medicine with milk or food never tak it on an empty stomach especially the aspirin. that just eats away at your stomach and can cause ulcers.

I am not a doctor, but the last thing he wants to do is gulp down aspirins and Tylenol. Believe me, aspirins put me in the hospital with internal bleeding, causing stomach pains. I had lost three pints of blood and was two days away from being dead. He really should go to a doctor, especially IF his poop is black (a sign of bleeding), and he aches all over, kidneys hurt, and feels sleeps more than usual.

Call an advice nurse at the hospital. See your doctor soon just in case.

That much Tylenol and Aspirin may damage the lining to your stomach. If I remember correctly Ulcers are a potential danger.

That is a lot of tylenol to take but....it is only 3 more than they reccommend you should take anyway. As for the aspirin,it can errode the lining of his stomach and can give him an ulcer. Has he tried Aleve? There is always ibprophen but you cannot take too many of them because they can cause your kidneys to shut down. I think a trip to the doctor would be better for him than anything. They can give him the correct medicine and the correct dosage. He needs to be careful.

Actually aspirin attacks the stomach while Tylenol attacks the liver. It could be stomach cancer. If so it is stupid to ask for advice on the Internet from idiots like me. I would take myself to your family doctor pronto and stop trying to find what you want to hear not what you need to hear.

It could be the medicine erodeing the lining of his stomach. I'd call the dr. and ask him. If the office will not page him, call a pharmasist!!!!

he has taken far too much pain medication in 24 hours, if the pain persists i would seek medical help, but if he is in that much pain he should see a doctor anyway.

IF HE'S FEELING BETTER GOOD. HE'S PUT A LOT OF STUFF IN HIS TUMMY. NO WONDER IT HURT. ASPIRIN CAN REALLY DO A NUMBER ON YOUR STOMACH. TRY TO NOT USE IT.
