STRONG in what case is essential. there are mechanical properties for each metal. every metal is unique in itself.

Aluminum and Steel both are malleable, ductile etc,
in air crafts they use Aluminum and not steel as the specific gravity of Al is less compared to steel. there are alloys of steel used in Ship building. In Wagon building Steel is used.

There are studies going on for using aluminum for truck there are no issues about the strength but the availability and economics behind that matters.

So if you want to build a truck chassis (frame ) go ahead and give me your MAIL ID.

Stainless is the strongest, aluminum the lightest, and chrome is just a cladding put over steel. Depends on what you want the gun for. If you plan on carrying it a lot, or for a long time then go with aluminum. Personally I would get stainless.

we very kinds of alloys . their sterengh deponds on their chemical composition and heat treatment avd hard working acted on them . in general steel is stronger than aluminum but we can add alloy elements to aluminum and make it stronger than steel . but carbon steel even without heat treatment is stronger than aluminum alloys without heat treatment . this is a complicated subject.

Both are strong enough for a truck. Aluminum is preferred because it does not rust and is lighter. Less horsepower, however small, is needed to turn a lighter wheel.

Check desity of each.Check structural properties of each.Compare shear stress and bending moment of each. I beleive , you will find steel is stronger.
