Of course. Many many of them. You among them, but for almost all atheists, there'd be their parents, among others.

Yup!
My mother for one, she's a believing Lutheran(though admittedly not as devout as the rest of my family) who's stood up for me more than anybody else in my family, especially when said family was trying to shame and humiliate me.
Then there's my uncle who has been nice that I have no quarrel with, and he's a Lutheran minister. That's more than I can say for his wife, who has been the biggest source of emotional-spiritual abuse that's come from any family member.
So while I've had the bad luck of running across more than a few obnoxious believers in my time, there's been a few decent people that leave me with the hope that not all believers are gonna be jerks to me when I challenge their beliefs.

I'm a Catholic who likes to study Buddhism who's favorite movies involve witches and the paranormal who at one point cursed God with all my heart and still lived to tell the tale...
So, I guess, I could say I'm borderlining both sides so I understand what it's like to be Atheist, polytheistic and monothiestic.
In actuality, we're all just people and it doesn't really matter what we believe in as long as we recognize our own faith in each other and respect each others choices.
Wow, that's sounded all Hallmark-like :D My point is I'm nice and respectful to everyone of any belief and I've been Catholic a majority of my life.

I know some awesome Christians. I train with a couple of ministers. They don't try to convert me. They just like sound workout advice.
Most of us would like each other if we met in person. I'm sure we would all share some commonalities.
I know a few that are much better people than I would ever hope to become.

Oh, plenty! Quite a few of my friends and fellow Otakus are believers and the nicest, coolest, all-around greatest people I know. They respect my views and I respect theirs, allowing for interesting, yet friendly debates. Heck, a lot of them even come to me for advice sometimes.

I'm not sure if I'm an atheist but if so, many have been, until they found out I wasn't one of them. But you have been nice to everyone here. You are the Christian Jesus wants us to be. You are, for me, the person I want to be but cannot be.

Yes, of course. In my real world, only a half dozen people even know my metaphysical positions. Yet most treat me nicely, just as I treat most of them nicely without caring what they believe.
Beliefs only matter when you don't know someone personally.

Please don't delete it, Debra, it's a fair and honest question.
You have always been kind. Sadly, you're one of very few. I don't think, off hand, that I could name another theist who specifically was kind in such a way regardless of the other person's beliefs.

Nice, sure. However, I never met a theist I could really like or respect.

Almost everyone is nice to me, and I'm certain that must include deists, theists, Catholics, Luterans, Muslims, Taoist... Folks of all faiths.
You're nice to me!
