It's not weird or uncommon. With girls or guys, it is all a measure of confidence.
Ask yourself what this fear stems from. Is it because of low self-esteem? Do you perhaps feel that you arent good enough to find a partner, or perhaps that nobody would want to be with you?
If so, then dont focus on finding a girlfriend or boyfriend, focus on accepting yourself, and focus on improving your own opinion of yourself.
Then, finding someone you get along with well will come a lot more easily and without stress.
Also keep in mind that a lot of people you meet have the same kind of fear.

I have been alone now for 5 years and to be alone is at times a terrible feeling. But most guys just concentrate most of the daily lives into there jobs and ladies don't notice that guys feel the same as women do and yes they do fear being alone when like myself long for a lady to my life, to share every day with someone is very special and to be alone it takes its toll on human companionship, that is when your alone. SO no it is not weird.

i think it is very normal to have a worst fear of being alone. It relates and ties to darkness. People fear what is unseen. My advice is to get a pet so you'll always have someone to love and come home too.

All young and single guys fear that. When you get older, someone comes in to your life that was looking specifically for YOU.

No, not at all. It jsut means you're human. I'm sure lots of guys have that fear - most people in general do, to some degree. It just means that you're sensitive and have enough courage to admit that you're afraid of it.

i dont think that that is wierd. i mean at least you knoe ur biggest fear and not afraid to notice it. most guys try to be macho men and try to act like they aint scared of nothin. but the fear of being lonely is noraml. well...to me it is i mean i dont think anyone wants to be lonely. but dont be all deperate and stuff thats not cute but i mean its cute meh when a guy cant atand it when they dont have a grlfrewn it means you have a heart.

not at all. i know alot of guys that have that fear. thats why some of the men in this workd get married.
