Why go with a mac?

Question

I need some reasons to convince that i should go with leopard instaed of vista.

I would like to tell you i was once a fanboy. 3 things happend that changed my mind.

I was talking to a guy who reinstalled XP 6 timesa nd it still didnt work properly

I keep all my important files in a zip folder. It went corrupt. There all gone. Tried every recovery program

My friends computer has become a zombie. Slower then 128MB and macs dont seem to have this problem.

All this in one weekend

I use XP and it works just fine for me. I also use Mac and it works just fine. If someone bought a Macbook without getting his hands on it first to see if it was a big rip-off with cheap plastic, well, duh.

I haven't noticed that Apple makes cheap, poor quality hardware but everyone should take a close look first.

There is not just one reason only to choose a Mac and the option to use Windows is not the most important one for most Mac users. The basis of the Mac operating system is far superior to Windows as anyone who has much experience with Unix can attest. Security is far superior to that of Windows but we shall have to wait (and wait and wait) to find out how secure Vista can be. If Microsoft is really so eager to steal some security technology, why don't they just make a Unix flavor like Linux and Mac? That is the fastest and most effective way to develop a secure system. But if they gave up on Windows path of development, why would we choose Microsoft?

I don't have any trouble finding programs for Mac but I don't use game software. If I did, I would probably need to use Windows more often.

not sure you should go with a mac. i just got my first mac and it is much "crisper and cleaner" in appearance then a PC, as well as the fact that it doesn't really ever get viruses. however, i still feel shamelessly ripped off. many things are not mac compatible and the general build of the macbook is sort of cheap i think. it's plastic, and not a nice plastic. justkind of cheap plastic. but, you could always get a titanium one if they still make them. And, perhaps the desktops are better made. anyway, the main thing macs sell themselves on are gimmicks. gimmicks that i admit i love. for instance, if you hit f9, all windows are displayed on the screen in small versions so you can see what's going on. also, my laptop came with a remote so you can play itunes with the remote while you are chilling. but, again, i think its a rip off. verrry expensive for what differences there are.

http://mac-sucks.com I think that is enough said. Just to clear up some of the mess behind Vista. Basicly it has jacked some of the Unix security features and took out what didn't work well with XP.

it all depends on what u want to do with your computer. macs are more for the average "light user"(mainly internet or e-mail checking/ family use like picture viewing or moviemaking) and pc's are for "hard users"(games,power-sucking programs) i have the vista beta and there is a lot more integration of light and hard use so its a safe bet for anyone scept that itll b bout $200 us base price, i dont know about leopard but it most likely will b like macosx. in the end go with what u want ur computer to do and what your preference is.

whoa macs are awesome i have had thiss baby for 8 months without virus protection no viruses and all the windows computers i get get viruses without protection
