Why do you ask this question here on Yahoo! Answers my dear? What answers do you expect to get? If you are trying to tell these people that you are normal, I don't think asking a question like this will help them much.
The thing is, now you are a witness, you are NOT the same person you were before. It means that you put God first before yourself and your friends. When God is first in everything you do, then there would be MANY things you CANNOT do with them anymore. If all the things they want to do is not in harmony with the Bible principles, then it would logically SEEM to them that you cannot do ANYTHING with them anymore.
It is so good that they are asking you all these questions about why you do things God's way. It gives you a wonderful opportunity to witness to them! You must have done well for them to observe your difference. Why don't you show them by your action that you are a good friend, even a better one, to be with? You would care about their needs more, and you would develop good Christian qualities such as love, joy, peace, mildness, and self-control in dealing with them. If you can show them that you sincerely care about them, and if they are a true friend to you, they would want to know more about what you believe. If it turns out that they don't believe what you believe, you have done your Christian duty. And you never know, they may be 'won without a word'.
In the end, it DOES NOT MATTER what others think of you as a witness. You know you are not weird. You know that in Jehovah's eyes you are not weird. Far from it, you are precious, desirable in his eyes. Isn't that something so wonderful?
Be assured that Jehovah loves you, and we, your brothers and sisters love you, very, very, very much.
Warm Christian love, and hugs.

It is true that many people "feel weird" about Jehovah's Witnesses.
http://jw-media.org/newsroom/human_rights.htm
Some people hate Jehovah's Witnesses out of ignorance, or over some misunderstanding. A few may have had a bad personal experience with an individual who claimed to be a Jehovah's Witness, and prejudicially extended their animus to this entire Christian religion.
However, it seems that the majority of anti-Witness hatred is motivated by religious intolerance and bigotry. A few may even be motivated against their Christian worship by the unseen 'god of this system of things', Satan the Devil.
(2 Corinthians 4:4) the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers
Interestingly, such "hatred" should be expected by true Christians in this time of the end, and it actually helps identify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christ's true disciples:
(John 15:19) If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.
(Luke 6:22) Happy are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and reproach you and cast out your name as wicked for the sake of the Son of man.
(1 Peter 4:4) Because you do not continue running with them in this course to the same low sink of debauchery, they are puzzled and go on speaking abusively of you.
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.
It seems signficant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:
(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

You know the answer to that question. The bible says you would be hated on account of me.
The bible showed the ridicule of other followers ,you know that we are still going to be ridiculed because we are Gods Witnesses.
Satan is right there making people think that you are some one you are not .Why? You know why. He wants you away from the truth because he is your opposer to God. He is not going to make it easy on any of us and we know that.
Just stick close to Jehovah God and the friends that you have that are also Jehovahs people and you will fair much better.
A sister.
For anyone that is not really sure of what Jehovahs Wittinesses believe in or why they don,t celebrate certain Holidays and why they sustain from blood please feel free to use this web site and find out the truth about them.
There have been alot of misconceptions here tonight and some lies about Jehovahs Witnesses so please feel free to investigate for your self.

Well, members of your faith have developed a " holier than thou " stigma over the years. Let me give you an example.....
I have a Grandmother that has recently become a Jehovah's Witness. The house as really changed around here. There's no more Christmas. No more birthdays. Halloween is gone. All those rituals that brought our family together is now considered a sin.
When my Grandfather died in a house fire, the Jehovah witness that was handling her conversion told here that " God was trying to tell her something "
If I ever felt the need to crucify some one, it was then.
The basis of Jehovahh Witness around where I live is basically that everyone else is wrong and going to hell. Don't celebrate Christmas or you going to hell. Don't celebrate birthdays or you're going to hell.
So, in sort, Jehova witnesses hold the keys to hell. and are the only ones that know God's plan. Every one else is wrong...
I guess you can say that of any religion -best wishes.

Because J.W.'s are a weird branch of Christianity, that's why.
Here are some examples. They may not apply to all, but certainly some:
- no fun Christmas
- no birthday fun
- don't give or accept blood transfusions
- knock on people's doors attempting to make others believe the same things that they do
- some sort of end-of-the-world predictions (that didn't come true)
Maybe if you were brought up that way, it's not weird, but for the majority of the people in this world, it IS weird. And that's just the beginning. There's got to be other weird stuff too, hence the questions.

I do not agree with everything they believe, however, that is ok, I do not have to. I am a Christan who follows the AME church, I strongly believe their is one God, and many ways that many people praise and worship. Who am I to say what is right or wrong. I am just happy you believe in God. My best friend of 25 years is a Muslim. I love her, and I am grateful she believes God is the head of her life. So, I really do not know why people are treating you differently, you should ask them. Perhaps it is a lack of knowledge or they are not strong enough in their faith. We are not here to judge what is right or wrong. God bless

Also why do they think only 6 or 6 thousand (not sure on that number but know its a cretin few) will go to heaven
Sorry don't mean to say they

People are always afraid of the unknown or different. I think some people are bothered by JW's because they all seem to dress alike, talk alike, and have the same mentality.
I'm good friends with one, and we don't have any problems between us. We're all human with human problems in life. Nor am I christian.

Unfortunately, there's propaganda out against your religion. Whether it's true or not I believe it's defamatory and cruel. I notice that people who have "follow the crowd" religions tend to get really fearful in the presence of passion and commitment.
You know what might really help? Have a party where you tell your friends, once and for all, what your beliefs are and what we can expect and how to relate to you with your religion. Maybe at Kingdom Hall there's a special Visitors Day when you can invite your friends so they can see for real what's up.

JW's have been thought of as weird for years. They go door to door .They do not celebrate Christmas, birthdays, they think that the cross is a sign of a pagan,They believe that the arc angel Micheal is Jesus. They don't serve in the military. they do not have transplants.I have a couple of friends who are JW's. I just love them but I disagree with their religious beliefs. GOD bless
