Known him for a few years. Just got to know him over the past year better. But sooo scared of what might happen from it!! Help Me!

If you talk to him a lot then you should have an idea if he likes you.

Ask him to do something very specific, like "I have tickets to a concert next Saturday, would you be interested in going with me?" or "I'm dying to see the new film playing at the cinema on Tuesday, would you like to go?" That way he has an easy out if he's not interested - he can claim to be busy that night, and you won't be embarrassed. If he's really interested, but is really busy that night, he can suggest an alternate idea.
If he's been too shy to ask you out for fear of rejection, you've just let him know that you're interested in him, and hopefully he'll get over his shyness and ask you out the next time. Good luck!

Every person ever goes through this. Just go up to him (in person, online or over the phone = fail), ask him out, and smile a bit at him. And if he says no, don't sweat it, there will obviously be other guys.

I think he will be surprised if you ask him out. Something doesn't seem right here I would do a little investigation before asking. Are you sure he doesn't have a girlfriend already? Or likes someone else?
Check it out first something doesn't feel right.

be cocky and funny.....just be kind of rude..strike a conversation..."say you are such a cheap man..cant afford to take me out for luch..you know you are hurting your chances of every being with me....well to bad you should have been more genrous with me.....well now i got to go ..call me over the weekend if muster the courage to ask me out! and then just leave....say you are ina hurry or watever and just get out..leave many questions unanswered...let him suffer for a few days dont pick up this phone and then call him back and hang up after a ring....or 2 play this game...he will call you back ina heart beat..
He might say are you aasking me to ask you out or something along those lines...be very clever and say ..stop trying to patronize me...just because you are desprate to be with me doesnt mean u try to get me to ask you out..have some courage...or watever funny you can think of, i am sure you can think of something funnier...keep breaking his neck till he caves in..and i mean honestly be as aggresive as you can..but dont ask him out....but then again ask him out..if you understand what i mean :)
well if at any point of time you see some bad answer comming your way, you can always say...ahh dont worry even if you ask me out it wasnt going to work..I was just messing with you..so you wana go watch southpark...or watever, god you are so cute and just let it go!
i know its very lame ...but i know for certain it would get you a nice free dinner and make him think about you more!
