In a week, I'll turn 16 and my parents will let me date. Not like I've had much chance to rebel...only two guys have asked me out, and other just wanted other stuff, that I don't do.
My friend has had many guys tell her that they like her because she's pretty, funny, and her good morals. Now, I may not be p retty, but I think I'm funny and if she has good morals, then that makes me a nun, because I have never even kissed a guy...that's how pathetic I am.
I was just wondering, because even though I'm nto exactly gorgeous, I'd like to think I'm not too horribly ugly to be unattractive, and I'm easy to make conversation with, and I have good morals.
But I'd like to at least know what I could do to bhelp me out in the boy department....no guy has ever truly liked me for who I am. They either thought I was a desperate, and would do anything with them, or I'm just one of their pals.
What's up with me?

So much in life has to do with attitude and self confidence. When you believe you "got it goin on" then other people will too. Try this for two weeks. Every day wake up in a good mood. Wear your best clothes, Look your best and believe in your heart that you are a hottie. Have a bit of an attitude play hard to get and before you know it you will have the boys calling and wanting to go out with you. Sounds too easy but if you just try it I guarantee it will work out for you.

First you're only 16. So don't worry. Second most sixteen year old girls are pretty and you probably are also. You just lack confidence. Third Guys don't like girls because they have good morals. That's like a guy buying a car because it goes slow. Not that you should drop your morals but it is not something guys like or care about. It's BS that guys say. Yes honey they lie.
Guys like pretty. They don't care weather your funny. At your age all they care about is pretty. Because they have no personality them selves. 16 year old guys are not as developed mentally or physically as 16 year old girls. They are just a big throbbing hormone with little or no class and no idea about what they should do.
Unfortunately you can't go out with 18 year old guys because they get in trouble for dating a minor. So maybe a guy a year older. Most of these guys talk about themselves and they just want to feel you up and kiss and anything you let them get away with. Try to find a guy who shares a common interest. A Hobie or music or something like that. Jocks are the biggest idiots. Avoid them. One of the things I see young girls and guys do is uglify themselves. They wear some really ugly clothes and pierce themselves and other ugly things. Unless you want a guy that looks like that stay away from that. Read some magazines like Seventeen on beauty tips and do what makes you look good. Most of all learn to be confident. This will make you more attractive to everyone.

Boy, can I relate! I had bigger probs with wetting my pants with any laughter and not keeping my big mouth shut and butt into conversations. So I know the agony you speak of. But if you're able to keep these guys as "pals" and get to know them better in a group, the dynamics will change after a bit. I ran with the boys in a group my father also befriended (boy was my dad smart!) I singled out one guy who I eventually got really hooked on (and I was only 12). Since we were all friends, keeping in touch through all our changes become easier and pretty comfortable. From 12 on up, I knew who I wanted and since both I and my father knew the good and not so good of this guy, he was a shoe-in when it came time to get married at age 21. Don't feel desperate and don't give away more than you want to. You're really in a wonderful space and the world is right there at your feet. Enjoy it, just be true to yourself and the right guy will notice how very pulled together you are, how attractive that makes you and he'll want you more than any other girl. It helps to have lots of guy friends to pick from though.

I don't know enough to give a great answer. I can tell you that you are probably worrying too much. This is a difficult age. Everyone is different. In the search for a mate, which is what dating is in the end, you want to be different and you want your mate to be different. That helps with fidelity as well as keeping things interesting. If you want a comparison, I was 25 before my first date. I had gone out with a girl before, but due to my lack of understanding she thought it was a date while I thought I was buying her a birthday dinner. If I had known I had a chance of a date with her I would have asked for a date. Just give yourself time. I am married now. There is hope.

Maybe u r pretty and u just don't know. First thing you gotta do is come into the daylight. use lenses. use makeup. use any cool stuff.
Okay, so this advice is not me, usually it would be be yourself. But not anymore, no one in this world looks at those who don't groom themselves. You think you're ugly, I was fat. I was like huge. People use to tease me, no one was my friend and I was pretty, fun, nice, but no. So I decided, you have to work this world, you can't just be yourself, it doesn't work that way anymore. It was the hardest thing I ever did to get skinny, but guess what? it worked. Now, everything so cool. Trust me, grooming you're self is way easier than getting skinny. Talk to me, if u have hotmail add me at flypitchers@hotmaill.com and in yahoo : einstien_twin@yahoo.com. Try to make a hotmail account if you can. I'll give you a lot of tips, and u'll be so beautiful.
bye bye.
WORK FOR IT AND YOU'LL ACHIEVE IT.

No offence but its your age . Girls in thier mid-teens are very self concious . Which totally normal guys are the same way . Even the ones that come off as self confident type deep down harbor the same fears as you do . Thats what learning and growing is all about . At the same time the boys your age get alot of thier info from movies ,TV ect... so they tend to be attracked to girls that are similar to what they have seen on the big screen. Boys at that age are also idiots emotionaly speaking they have to catch up to you . Trust me its not you.

I have to agree.Don't rush it! Life is short and trust me oys are the least important thing to be worrying about in your life right now.get a good education and try not to let them lead you in the wrong direction because they sometimes will.Just stay in school and be yourself.your too young to be worrying about love right now anyhow.by the time you get about ten yrs down the road you'll know what I mean.guys come and go and there are millions of them out there and one in particular will find you when you least expect it.just hang in there and enjoy your youth while you still have it!!!!!

Just be yourself -- love always comes when you least expect it and when you're not looking for it. Relax and you'll meet someone worthwhile.
Also, don't compare yourself to others, especially in terms of your first kiss, first date, etc. It's more important that you find someone worthwhile to share those "firsts" with than when it happens for you. Just be patient and don't try too hard!! Remember -- it will happen when you least expect it.
