Other than the fact that you are homophobic, or it is against your religion, how would it affect or change anything tangible in your life?
I'm married with 3 wonderful children, and have don't see how allowing gays to marry or have civil unions would in anyway affect my life.
Doesn't it really come down to equal rights? Gay people are going to live together, they love each other, why not give them the same legal rights as every other married couple?

I simple fail to understand. I can appreciate that some churches won't marry them because of religious beliefs, but all they want is a civil union so they can have some basic rights like health care...

All scientific evidence suggests that it is not a "choice"

Again, how does it effect you other than going against your religion? You might as well outlaw everything else that doesn't agree with you specific morals.

It's about the allowing the perception that homosexuality is an acceptable lifestyle. Equal right's is great and I'm all for it, but it is abused far more than it is applied correctly and it is not a Biblical concept.

My problem with it is where will it stop. What is next, men that can marry a 18 year old boy, or maybe 17, 16, 15...

Some Say there is the insurance companies. If a man and a woman live together he cannot put her on his insurance policy. There will be a legal argument in the courts to allow anybody and everybody be added to an insurance policy, then rates will have to go up. I don't know how that would work.

But my biggest problem is where is it going to stop.

Health Care is not a Right.

as far as there rights, a gay man has the exact same rights to marry any woman he pleases and neither one of us can marry a man. How are our rights different in the eyes of the law.

If Homosexuality is not a choice and for that reason it should be allowed, what about bestiality. Like I said where will it stop.

No one has a real problem with Civil Unions. It is against my religion for homosexuals to engage in what they do. I also know they do it and its their choice and free will to reject scripture and God and do what they want. The Problem is in the wording or symantics. In Christianity, marriage is a sacrament of the Church instituted by God. Therefore, by proper definition, there can never truly be "Gay Marriage". If they want "Civil Unions" with legal benefits....go for it.

Homosexuality blatantly in our faces and the myriad of other moral declines will ultimately destroy this country just as it has every other known civilization throughout all of known history. It is only a matter of time. Just go study up on World History and you will come to the same conclusion. No contemporary civilization that was morally "geared" as we are today ever survived. One day, hundreds of years in the future, people will read in the history textbooks about the revived Roman Empire of the 21st Century that was called the United States and how it did all the same things as the first empire and it fell too.

when they say love..they mean, they have a sexual attraction towards each other, they dont mean love.God destroyed a whole city becuase there were all gays living there. Why does god not allow it?because he made man alone at first...and then he made woman out of man to keep company...for man.God,was really dissapointed when man started doing this because it does eliminate( soul mates) think about he took a piece from man to make a woman...Wo-Man...most gays have been abused as a child or as a teen..or have not got the attention they deserved and they meet someone alike and they are both in need of attention. They become real close friend and mistake the feelings and become partners..
only you choosed how to live your life. if you know the truth and think it is right (not pretend)then that is ur opinion.but..if we do allow it to be in public..
a mothers worst nightmare will most likely come true.
Do you want your childeren to be gay?do you?they see it in school,in public places,on t.v.....then everyone?what about those that need a soul mate?and are straight?

Nature does not support male and male or woman and woman!

You and no one else go on this earth outside of male and female!

Sadder is when you want to promote that garbage in front of children as though it was sanctioned by Nature.

Hitler though he had the right to Kill Jews, The Clan think they are better than anyone that does not have pink skin like theirs, and the mental ward are full of people with who no what ideas.

In nature, there is no such things as rights. Water is wet, snow is cold, females are females and males are males. Dogs can not claim rights to do and act as snakes. And male humans have no such things as a right to be a female!

Gays getting married is not going to affect my life, not one iota. Just because one doesn't support an idea, does that mean one has a phobia about it? Get real. I don't care what people do with their lives, but do I support it? no I don't. I think it's wrong, according to my beliefs. That's my opinion and I think I'm entitled to it, as everyone is to there's.

First off, I am not homophobic.Gays don't scare me at all, nor do I have any kind of physical reaction thinking about gays or seeing gays. But here's how the legalization of homosexual marriage would affect my life. All you have to do is read a bit of world history and you could figure it out on your own. But here it is: EVERY nation that has accepted homosexuality as an alternative lifestyle has fallen. This is not only written in the Bible, but in MANY other non religion based historical texts. I don't want to see my country fall. If it does fall, that would definitely affect my life. Peace.

It will affect us all, in time. It will affect your children too.God, in the Bible, tells us that His view of homosexuality is quite different. Homosexuality is a sin, and like all sins will separate one from God.
Sadly, many are going to be lost forever in a devil's hell because of the casual attitude they have with respect to holy and godly living. "For this you know with certainty, that no immoral or impure person...has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no man deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them....For it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret" (Eph. 5:5-12).

quite simply it does not.

other than the christian desire to destroy everything that is not directaly of their religion it has no meaning in their lives.

however it is a violation of my religious freedom as an ordained minister to tell me that i cannot preform a legal marriage ceramony for anyone that is of legal age and wishes to get married.

not to mention the violation to their rights to be married in both a spiritual and a legal sense. i guess people would rather say that this country was founded on christianity than say that it was founded on FREEDOM.
