In the 1870s, Adolphus Busch envisioned brewing a national beer, and in 1876, he and a good friend Carl Conrad, developed a new brand of beer that would be acceptable to many tastes. Adolphus coined the word "Budweiser" for this beer because it drew upon the German heritage of the company and could also be easily pronounced by Americans, appealing to both Americans and German immigrants.
So basically, it doesn't stand for or mean anything. They just made it up!
